~VINTAGE CLOTHING and LACE FINDS~

~ROUND TABLECLOTH with DEEP CROCHET LACE~

I spent most of my day today on the Estate/Tag Sale hunt and I get so excited when I score BIG with vintage linens.  I never really know just WHAT I will find when fluttering about town...
~TONS of CROCHETED DOILIES~

All in all I think my Mr. AGPMan (and our son!) visited six different sales...
two were phenomenal
two were great
one was good
and
one will go down in history
as being the worst managed sale I've ever attended...
~LOVE THIS RUNNER~

Lots of pics to share today!
A few I'll move over to Pinterest and Facebook!
~LOVELY EDGING~

You know...I said once that if I ended up with more followers on Pinterest than I did on my Blog then it might be time to quit writing and just share pretty photos!
~LOTS OF THIS LACE~

Hmmm...getting awfully close here....
~TRIM MADE with RIC RAC~

This sweet edging included the note you see below.  Basically it says it was crocheted while a momma rocked her baby/cradle with her foot!  How sweet is that?

 ~LOVE THIS NOTE~
 ~GORGEOUS~
 ~VINTAGE BODICE~

Totally swoon-worthy!
 ~UP-CLOSE COLLAR~
~HANDMADE BUTTONHOLES~
 ~WHITE on WHITE EMBROIDERY~

Perfect accents for Christmas Stockings!

 ~VINTAGE CHILD'S APRON~
 ~VINTAGE BABY DRESS~
~VINTAGE BABY SLIP~
 ~A LONE VINTAGE BROOCH~
 ~FANTASTIC HUGE TABLECLOTH~
 ~AMAZING STITCHING~
 ~BEAUTIFUL~
 ~BREATHTAKING~
 ~MY FAVORITE FIND~
~MORE THAN LOVELY~

The vintage tablecloth is my FAVORITE FIND!  I love all the other lace pieces and the vintage clothes, but the tablecloth is amazing.  It has some storage issues, but no stains from use.  I honestly don't believe it ever graced a table.  Somehow I think that is very sad...

Anyway...the cloth is ENORMOUS!  Maybe that's why it was never used...too large for a family table.

Hope you love all my treasures!
I have Christmas Stocking running through my brain.

Before I go...just a note to thank those of you who have written regarding my last post.  Your thoughts and concern for my husband mean more than I can say.  When it comes time for me to close my bloggie for good your kindnesses to me will be what I miss the most.

Love to you...

Wow, you hit the mother lode on linens, Rebecca! I love them all! I have been looking at the linens I find at yard and estate sales lately. I have found some really pretty pieces and don't always have an idea for them when I buy them. So far I've used them on stockings and pillows.

Your finds are gorgeous, Rebecca. That is sad about that big old tablecloth never being used.

I am DREADING the day you stop blogging. I know Pinterest is great but there is not the personal connection that I find here. I am hoping that God thinks you should keep blogging, too. xo Diana

Vintage lace and vintage linens are my most favorite things in the world. So lovely. I love the note too. Thanks for sharing your pretties.

I like the little white scroll signature thingy on your photos too. How do you do that.

Oh my gosh Rebecca, your linens are gorgeous! I've never found that many in one day. I really love the baby dress and slip. I hope you keep your blog, Pinterest is nice but, lacks the personal touch a blog has. Blessings to you and Mr. AGP man.

Dear All...

I'm not planning on closing my blog anytime soon... At least not until I finally show all the work we've done on our DOWN TO THE STUDS kitchen remodel. That is a ways off.

Just trying to be honest about where my heart is. These have been challenging days and I just want to make sure that I'm doing what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing with my life.

I'll be sharing more when I'm clearer minded and feel more direction!

Everything is so beautiful. I found 3 treasures today. A large natural birds nest (fell out of a tree) a silver sugar bowl (thrift store) and a fantastic antique cabinet in a back alley (free). Don't know what the cabinet was originally, Dad says probably a phonograph. I had a great day.

Rebecca,
Hope the day never comes for you to close the blog. I start my morning hoping you have posted for another day! I pray you and your husband are well. There is a song that says "the God on the mountain is still God in the valley... the God of the day in still God in the night." As a woman of faith, I'm sure you know that, but I, myself need to be reminded sometimes. Love your work, your words and thoughts, and the connection we followers seem to have with you. So nice to set down with some tea and read your thoughts and see all you accomplish. It encourages us on so many levels. God bless you in all you do.
Prayers,
Cathy

For I know the plans I have for you Rebecca declares the Lord. Plans to give you a future and a hope...and you will find Me when you seek Me with your whole heart.
I had to look this wonderful promise verse up because I thought for sure there must be a version that says "...a future and a blog" but I just couldn't find it. :)
My heart will be heavy when that day comes. Like so many others I too have come to cherish you and every post. You are my inspiration for my new little adventure back in to the retail booth world and I look to you for encouragement in the Word as well.
Though my heart be laced with sadness, I trust Him in you and will pray His plan and His will be done in all that concerns you and Mr.AGP man.
With all the love I have in me,
God bless you my sister, Barbie

I was just looking at lace, and then that NOTE!!! simply took my heart. You shop for lovely things and pieces of the past, and the memories you gather are absolutely exquisite.

Is there a way I could have a picture of that little memory-note for my album? Or was that piece/note for sale? Swooning here.

Heading for your SHOP to browse soon as I get home from the gym! I'll NEED it!
