~MOLLIE, OUR BELOVED YORKIE DOG~

~EARLY LAST SPRING~

Yesterday I took my little Miss Mollie, my now 14 and 7 month old Yorkie, to see her doctor as she continue to grow very, very thin.  My Mr. AGP Man and I know we must soon make the painful decision regarding her future and we are beyond broken up about it all.  Our time with her has quickly flown and we are facing the very end of our days with our beloved girl...
~AT HER SASSY BEST~

For those of you who are Pet Parents you know how difficult it is to say goodbye.  Do we continue to WAIT for nature to take it's course, especially if our pets don't APPEAR to be in pain?  Or do we opt to CHOOSE the humane approach and opt to put our babies down?
~MOLLIE AS A PUPPY~

Our girl still loves to sometimes hunt June Bugs on warm summer evenings, although walking is getting harder and harder for her and she sleeps all but maybe three or four of 24 hours each day.  She still loves to snuggle and cuddle and so we've been waiting...and waiting...and waiting...
~YEARS AGO WITH MOLLIE AND MY MISS K~

While our hearts our breaking.
~PLAYING IN MY POLYFIL~

I've asked God many times over this past year just what it is we are supposed to learn while traveling this journey...  Or maybe it is we are just supposed to enjoy the love we both give and receive this side of heaven...
~OUR FUNNY GIRL~

We aren't sure.

Anyway...your prayers are so appreciated as we decide...and ponder and pray.
~MY FAVORITE PICTURE EVER TAKEN~

I've so enjoyed sharing the antics of our girl with you all over the past eight or so years...  Saying goodbye...or so long for now...or see you again one day is, well, you know...

Blessings~

Rebecca

Sending prayers for each of you including Miss Mollie. Whenever any decision is made by nature or yours she will sure be company to your sweet daddy and may this be of some comfort in this difficult time. Grateful you have a dear, loving husband to hold you through all and you hold him I am positive.

Thank you, Trish. You are so right. The answer IS LOVE. We are going to treasure the next few days with our girl...and then we will TRY and live without her presence and carry her inside our <3 hearts forever. You are a dear soul. Thank you again. <3 R

Oh- It is so horrible to have to make those decisions...and I have had to make them way too many times over the years. I think you will just KNOW without question when that time comes. She will look at you one day and her eyes will be so 'tired' that there will be an unspoken request in them...and you will know it is time. I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Sending a prayer your way. xo Diana

It is always difficult and I have gone through it at least 20 times! If the vet tells me that my baby is in no pain then I will let nature take its course. I am always with each loved one to the end, my arms holding them and my heart with them.
You are in my heart and prayers.

Oh Rebecca, I'm so sorry you and Steve have to travel this road. We've been there ourselves and it is so difficult to know the path to take. Prayers for all of you in this sad time. Blessings and love.

Many have been where you are right now and feel your pain. I just say enjoy every moment you still have with your fur baby. When the time comes...it will come soon enough. Tears will flow and memories come to mind. You'll find times that you are looking around your feet for your sweetie and there will be no fur baby. You have had a wonderful time having this small, gentle creature that has brought much love and joy your way.
God bless,
d

Dearest Rebecca,
Yes, it is one of the hardest things to do...
Your Molly girl has been so cute and lively, all of her life till some time ago.
That is what hurts the most.
I had the very same with my miniature Dachshund Mauzie. She was so smart, loving and hyper all her life until cancer slowed her down so much. Like you say, never knowing if they suffer or are in pain. God forbid no. We had to put her down and she died peacefully while I held her head and felt the veins in her throat go silent... I wept and Pieter buried her in his swimming garb, in pouring rain.
Never will forget those moments but she's always inside my heart and one day we all will be reunited!
Wishing you strength on your journey with Molly.
Hugs,
Mariette

A very hard decision to make. We had to make that decision with our 16 yr old dachshund on Father's Day. We knew it was coming but you are never really ready. We are still adjusting. You will know when the time is right.
