So I did ... and everyone present in the shop admired him/her.
Enjoy your weekend!
JacobaJacobahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01321289399067977071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1934579070684149103.post-44241680818692730802010-08-06T22:54:56.680-05:002010-08-06T22:54:56.680-05:00Hi sweetie...I missed your plea for help in drying...Hi sweetie...I missed your plea for help in drying hydrangeas. I cut mine after they have been on the bush awhile (like about ten days)...if you cut too soon they will often wilt. Then when you cut them, place them in a vase with a small amount of water and by the time it is gone, they will be dry. I don't know if in a climate with high humidity it works the same however. I do love the ones you dried though. Sometimes I cut them as soon as they open, just to get this effect.
hugsJunehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17283259375743586344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1934579070684149103.post-65981080490644308352010-08-06T18:26:56.668-05:002010-08-06T18:26:56.668-05:00Rebecca, did you know that if you strip a stem of ...Rebecca, did you know that if you strip a stem of your hydrangea bush while it's still on the plant, lay it on the earth and weight down the top, each of the little dents will root, giving you more plants. No need to spend any more money. You can let them stay in the ground and grow their roots, trimming and transplanting later. Just a thought. Good luck my friend, CharCharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18288010852616701624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1934579070684149103.post-79626862492924345682010-08-06T15:07:55.763-05:002010-08-06T15:07:55.763-05:00Rebecca, I want you to see my Big Lots $15.00 roos...Rebecca, I want you to see my Big Lots $15.00 rooster that I painted and added a PINK bow on. You and Tea certainly came to mind when I did that!

He was the most awful brown, yucky color. Acccccckkkkk. The miracle of paint.

Don't tell a soul, but I think I am going to paint tiny pink rosebuds on his tail.

Sending joy!!!!!
Barb :-)Barb https://www.blogger.com/profile/03410036713000396886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1934579070684149103.post-66938745154445097712010-08-06T13:43:23.193-05:002010-08-06T13:43:23.193-05:00Hi Rebecca! It's so sad to see plants and bushes that were once lush and beautiful suddenly wilt and look tired and sickly. It breaks my heart...But I think that maybe..just maybe your hydrangeas might perk up a bit come cooler weather. Hot humid weather really stresses them out despite all the water they need. We'll just keep our fingers crossed, ok? :)

Blessings to you too, friend! Have a great day!

Oh, and I just adore "As the Deer" on your blog.
