~GO LIGHT YOUR WORLD~

May this beautiful Sunday usher in hope and peace into your life today.

Below you'll find the words to a song with the same theme written by Miss Kathy Trocolli called "GO LIGHT YOUR WORLD".  Sweet little song with a great big message!

I love Kathy's beautiful alto voice and if you'd like to listen to her sing it for yourself just turn on your sound!  It's the first song on my PlayList.

 GO LIGHT YOUR WORLD
Words/Music:  Chris Rice
Singer:  Kathy Trocolli

There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings a fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home

So Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle without a flame

So Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

Cause We are a family whose hearts are blazing
So let's raise our candles and light up the sky
Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus
Make us a beacon in darkest times

So Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

~*~

Blessings as your worship in song!

Love to you~

  2. What a lovely message for this Sunday Rebecca!
Often I find that people (myself included) are too harsh in their assessment of themselves and what they have to offer and that keeps us from opening our hearts and sharing our lights. Thanks for the reminder that we all have something of great value to pass along to others!

  17. Hi Rebecca ~ I love K. Troccoli. Her voice is so rich and melodious. One of a kind. This song brought back some very special memories for me today. My praise team at church sang this at Christmas time quite a few times because we loved it so. Thanks for the blessing today, friend. I pray that it was just as special for you!

  22. I have always liked that song. The line "Carry your candle, run to the darkness" speaks to me as I usually want to run AWAY from the darkness, but I know I shouldn't . I always pray for strength. Thank you.
