~TORNADO UPDATE~

Thank you for all your emails and comments...

Here's a blanket note to you all about the tornado that hit Oklahoma today

My Mr. AGPMan and I just got word from our son, Brandon, that he and his wife Sarah and our beautiful Miss K are OK.  They live in MOORE, OKLAHOMA, and miraculously their home escaped any damage or injury.

THANK YOU, GOD, FOR ANSWERED PRAYER!

It isn't lost on me that today could easily have been the worst day of my life.

For many it was.

Still...Oklahoma's people are already doing what they always do...  Coming together to help the displaced and rising up to meet the challenges of life set before them!  Salt of the earth...

Our beautiful State has been through so much over the past few years...now this!  Please pray for us...

May God have mercy on us all...

Thank you all for caring about us.

Love to you...

  2. Hi Rebecca. I was so glad to see an update from you. I prayed hard that you all would be safe. I have been glued to the tv set looking at all of the damaged. We had damage, but nothing like your area. Our daughter had 3/4 of a garage roof taken off, part landing on a power line, our grandson's swing set damaged beyond repair, and we have trees down all over town. They are trying to say it was a straight wind, but the trees were twisted off, and they were pulled up from the ground. They were healthy trees nothing wrong with them. It was very scary for a while. The wind was clocked at 72 miles a hour. Take care and I will continue to send prayers for those down your way. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.

  19. I was in the car a little earlier when a friend told me about this, and I came racing home to see if there was a post from you. THANK GOD YOU ALL ARE OKAY. PTL. PTL. PTL.

I think a lot of us had you covered in prayer, Becky, as I became concerned with what you said in a previous post. So I am very, very grateful you are okay. Now, we wait to hear about others. Did you know that Mr. Magpie was born in Oklahoma? He was.

  28. Glad to know your family is safe. My daughter and her husband ( from Pittsburgh) are in Norman, OK for job related classes, and their hotel is not far from Moore. She was hysterical, and is anxious to come home this weekend. Sorry to say she never wants to go back ....at least not in the Spring! This is her third trip out to Oklahoma.

  34. Thank you so much for posting, when I heard about the elementary school I was worried about your baby!!! Thank you lord! Rebecca, I am wondering why the schools were open since they had predicted more tornadoes today. I don't think I would have sent my child to school....Oh I hate this, it seems as if we have one tragedy after another. Keep us posted and stay safe!

  39. Have been praying for all involved. I cannot imagine life as normal for so many. My son helped with the Joplin clean up and having served in Iraq he said it was like a war zone. And it shows Moore is much of the same. Horrific. God's blessings to all of those affected.
