LOVE IS...taking her to the sales!

(Specifically...Estate, Tag, Garage & Junk!)
Well, it's Wednesday again and time to share with you another one of my LOVE IS...clippings! It's been sooo much fun to meander my way through over 200 old love letters to find the BEST of the best "LOVE IS..." clippies my then "boyfriend/fiancé" tucked inside. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry as I wander down memory lane...
Now...it goes without saying that I am a Junk-Sale Maven! :) If I find something that can be re-purposed I'm gonna drag that baby home with me and decide LATER what I'm gonna do with her! My entire house is full of such finds and my two storage sheds, too!
Now...my guy knows me. He does! I always start the day saying "There are X amount of sales...let's go to four!". Invariably if the first three sales are BUST then the list will suddenly grow longer! :) Nothing is more disappointing than coming home empty-handed! So, it's quite feasible thatwe I will change my mind about the 'four stops' and end up visiting ten or twelve sales instead... This of course makes my Mr.AGPMan quite crazy happy!

Now...when it comes to just "regular shopping"...well...that is another story. He will not tag along! No way, NAUTA!! He will NOT go to the Mall and if I ask him to (even extra nicely) his handsome face turns into something close to that of a rabid dog. It's best for me to shop for girly girl things (and the like) alone! Besides, if he is with me when I'm hunting down all those fabulous SALES, then he KNOWS exactly what I spend save!
Blessings to you as share time with the one you love...Rebecca

Love is...your best friend, the love of your life and the person you married enjoying each others company and doing simple and enjoyable things together. There is nothing more joyful to me than my husband and I strolling along the streets of some of our favorite small towns and gazing into the windows of the little shops and eventually stumbling onto an ice cream parlor. We are so blessed.

OMG! That is what we do ... a few sales becomes an all day 200 mile trip for that 'treasure'. OR, we go to an auction & have fun looking for 'that speecial find'. Tho, to go to a mall shopping Harold would rather turn up his toes ... I tried that 'sales saving pitch' & it worked for a while, but not long enough. Now we just don't discuss my expenditures, he'll see that when he audits the checkbook at months' end. Chuckle!
Love the art ... that is so good!

PS TY for the warm thoughts & prayers, Rebecca, they are deeply appreciated.
Love is being married for almost 41 years to your best friend......
Beautiful Post!!

Hi Rebecca, this is so funny. Ron will go to the mall with me but he always gets 'tired' out of the blue and he has more energy than anyone I know!!! But he is my honey and I wouldn't change him for the world.
Thanks for sharing your life with us and thank you for the thought provoking comments about painting on my blog. You have really stirred me up!!
Love to you, Barb
How sweet! I think that is my favorite clipping so far!
My hubby is the same way. Loves to hunt for junk- um-treasures , but hates the malls or stores even. I have to buy his clothes!

I used to have one of these mugs! So cute! I wonder what happened to that thing! Anyhoo ~ me and my man have been married for 5 years:) He is not a shopper! but he does follow me around just to be with me. Sweetie... Hope you're loving this Oklahoma weather!
How well I remember these clippings thank you for the walk down memory lane. My man is NOT a shopper unless it is going to our local hardware shop, tools etc at the top of the list but the good thing is it is huge & has plenty to keep me busy, we just head off in different directions! My mum & dad however spend hours shopping together, they really are a joy to watch.
Hope your day is being kind to you Rebecca

Hahahaha.. Sooo meee !! Yes, it's always how much I saved, and " Can you believe what I got this for".. or even better, No, that's not new, I've had it forever silly .. In my trunk or truck, just waiting for the right minute to bring in and unveil !! I think my hubs knows all my tricks, and just looks at mee.. Silly men, they just don't get it !! hahaha..I LoVe when you share sweet friend.. You make me giggle..Have a awesome evening with Mr. AGP..I Love and Adore you.. huggers ~tea~xo
~~Rebecca~~I'm catching up some in the blog world..I've been off-line recently with my Mama in the hospital. She is trying to travel to heaven to be with the Lord, but there is something she has yet to do. I would soooo love to go estate or tag sale shopping together..I'm sure all us ladies out here would love the "field trip" with you. Enjoy the Wednesday "clippies" you share from hubby's love letters. I had to laugh at one of the previous posts about hiding (oops, I mean methodically deciding) when is the time to bring a find or sale item in for viewing. I can so relate and am guilty of it sometimes myself. You know, sometimes I just don't want to hear it or have 20 questions! Giggle!
Thanks for sharing and making my day...hugs to you sweet friend...Mary H.
