~HE'S STILL HER LITTLE CHILD...Thinking of Mary, too!~

Still Her Little Child

When she laid him in a manger
He was still her little child
In a city filled with strangers
He was still her little child
Though the inn was full
And the night was cold
She held Him close and smiled
When she laid Him in a manger
He was still her little child

~*~

When the angels called Him Savior
He was still her little child
When the wise men gave Him treasures
He was still her little child
When the shepherds bowed before Him
A star shone all the while
When the angels called Him Savior
He was still her little child

~*~

When He grew in strength and wisdom
He was still her little child
When He spoke the people listened
He was still her little child
When He healed the lame and dying
They would follow Him for miles
And when he grew
In strength and wisdom
He was still her little child

~*~

When the people turned against Him
He was still her little child
When they shouted crucify Him
He was still her little child
And when they nailed Him
To a wooden cross
Then we were reconciled
When she held His broken body
He was still her little child

~*~

He was still her little child…

What a beautiful poem.....
I could never imagine giving my child to mankind. I am not as loving as Mary. When it comes to my children I am very selfish!
Season's Greetings!

Rebecca,
This is truely lovely. I remember watching "the Passion" when it came out. I cried through the whole thing. I had a new profound feeling about Mary after that.... how she suffered as she watched her son suffer. Thanks for sharing this. Blessings today!

No, I cannot imagine being "His" mother. What a beautiful tribute. You made me cry. Is this one of Ray Bolz's songs? I love his voice and his music. I have some of his CD's, but not with this song.

Blessings 2 U Rebecca,
Marie

Hi Rebecca, that was just beautiful! Brought tears to my eyes. When you are a mother, you are ALWAYS a mother - no matter how bigor old your child gets. I didn't often think about Mary, but I will now and especially this time of year. Thank you!
Merry Christmas,
Marilyn
