~PINK SATURDAY - More Shabby Pink To Make You Think~

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!

Now...to all you pink-lovin'-peeps...this is my second go-'round with Ms. Beverly at HOW SWEET THE SOUND!  I hope you'll make time to visit her beautiful blog and say a big 'THANK YOU' for taking the time to head up such a fun 'party'! :)   While you're at it make note of all the PINK SATURDAY PARTICIPANTS and visit as many as you can!  With all the gloomy weather around the USA we all need a little "PINK ME UP!" :)
Now...if you came and visited me at my La Chaumiere de Briarwood this is what you'd find...  Jars and jars, like the one above, filled to the top and overflowing with every kind of vintage button you can imagine.  This pretty toffee jar is one of my treasured finds...and the dainty pink rose decorating her neck makes her a keeper!  Yummeeee!
I don't seem to be able to pass up vintage needlepoint.  And so, I don't! :)
I'm not a big collector of stuff...mainly because I love everything.  Still...if I ever come across vintage perfume bottles that are PINK...well...um...you know!  This is an old Fenton Bottle...a sweet gift from my hubby when we bought our home in 1992.
Now...I'm CRAZEEEEEE about vintage hats covered with aging millinery blooms!  I just found this charming old beauty a few days ago and her pinkness made me, well...BLUSH! :)
Of all the vintage graphics I've ever found, snagging the one you see above made me come close to fainting.  This little pink beauty, originally painted by Frances Brundage, continually steals my heart away!  The image was reproduced onto fabric and made into a pillow!
I don't know the name of the artist who painted these two darling cherubs and roses...but I'm in love with him/her! ::)
Now...I don't crochet...but if I did I would TRY and make something sweet like this.
I love to paint pink roses...especially on little PINK BUNNIES...
Last but not least...my final PINK offering for you today is Miss Mollie the Molinator.  She was NOT happy at all with me today.  My little 4LB beauty has a new groomer that she is not fond of I'm afraid.  I think she blames her for the pink dress and hair bow! :)

Thank you soooo much for visiting me this week!  Now...go get your PINK ON and have a GREAT DAY!  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!

Love to you~

I adore Miss Mollie - but what is a Molinator? An extra cute Mollie? lol lol lol

Well, I don't know which pictures I like the most - they're all wonderful. I particularly like the perfume bottle (not often you see one this colour and milky finish - still looks modern today) and your button jar! So simple - so elegant - so much nicer than my battered old tin...and all your pillows are To Die For they are so lovely.

Have a very Happy Pink Saturday!

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY MY ANGEL,
MISS MOLLIE LOOKS DARLING IN HER PINK DRESS AND BOW. SHE CERTAINLY NEEDS A GIRLFRIEND TO TELL SECRETS TOO AND SHE WILL GET TO BE THE BOSS, SINCE SHE WOULD BE THE OLDEST.
I LOVE YOUR BUTTON JAR... I AM NOT CREATIVE ENOUGH TO PUT BUTTONS IN A JAR LIKE THAT...WHY I DON'T EVEN HAVE A JAR LIKE THAT BUT I WILL LOOK FOR ONE....LOL ONLY YOU HAVE THAT TOUCH REBECCA.
THE PILLOW YOU MADE OF THE BROWN HAIRED GIRL IS STUNNING AND I TOO, CAN NEVER PASS UP NEEDLEWORK OR CROSS STITCH...I KNOW HOW MUCH WORK GOES INTO ONE.
THOSE MILINERY ROSES ON THE HAT YOU JUST BOUGHT IS TO SEE A SONG FOR....YOU RARELY WILL FIND THAT QUALITY...I COULD JUST FEEL THEM..I HAVE A BABY BLUE MILINERY ROSE AND OTHER BUT NOT THAT STUNNING.
HUGS
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND
HUG MISS K FOR ME

Love the bottle full of buttons, I am off to find one just like it.....and the pillows take my breath away. And that bunny, maybe I need a partner for my sweet bunny you made me. Missed commenting on your last post but Beca, those dishes are 2die4. Thanks for all the inspiration dear friend. (Yes I am praying for good weather, although we missed all that rain you had yesterday)

Rebecca,

Well, my dear friend, you have delighted us once again with such beautiful pinks!!

The pillows are to die for and I adore that sweet perfume bottle.

Your dear doggie looks so cute! we are taking Savanna to the groomer on Monday. It takes Joe and I because one has to pull and the other has to push her in! Only one of us has to go to pick her up because she is running for the car so fast that it is NEVER a problem to get her out of there!! LOL!!

Hugs,

Debbie

Hi Rebecca, I love all you special treasures and I must say, I have 2 vintage needlepoint pics, nearly the same. For the crochet, well, you know I love that and have one also like it that my grandmother designed. I cherish it for sure.
Your sweet pooch is a doll baby in her pink sweater vest. Too cute.

Hope you are staying dry this weekend. We are having rain now and lots of it.
Have a special weekend sweet friend.
Love ya, Celestina Marie

tee hee - Mollie's pink ensemble is perfect! LOL I wish Dusty would let me dress him up - but, aside from one "muscle man" tee-shirt that states "I'm the king," he won't wear anything.

But Mollie, even if grumpy, looks as if she knows adornment is her lot in life LOL.

I have to remember the "pink me up" phrase - so sweet. Your pinks are lovely and inspiring. Makes me want to stop the grunt work that I am presently taking a break from and do something fun:-)
I adore the recipe box and have specific job for it...am still looking for some sweet recipe cards that are charming enough to marry the recipe box.

Hi Rebecca, Your Pink Saturday post is just beautiful. You have one of the most lovely blogs I have ever visited. I can see you are truly blessed with talent.
Thank you for visiting and leaving your kind comment on my “Favorite Things Friday”. I made the Pink Floral arrangement just for my guest bedroom. I love playing with flowers and seeing what designs I can come up. I feel in love with the quote when I first say it! It says it all!

Rebecca, from the buttons to the pillows, everything is so pretty! But that Mollie takes the proverbial pink cake! What a cute baby she is! I want a dog so much. We lost our two and haven't gotten another yet, but I'm leaning hard toward a little cutie like that. She's a doll!

And I love the music... one of my favorite contemporary music pieces. This reminds me of a Bible Study I joined some time ago, and our worship leader always sang this. The Lord truly does inhabit the praises of His people!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Rebecca, So glad your with us for Pink Saturday, Isnt it fun?!
I enjoy getting to know so many new pink lovers, My mom can crochet exactly like that beautiful doilie, Its probably the only thing she has tried to teach me that I just cant wrap my brain around, but she keeps trying. She makes up yards of lace for me when she is bored, or needs a change of scenery, I hate using it because I know how much she puts into it for a little piece, but she gets upset if I dont, So sometimes you will see my pretties embellished with it, but alot of it I end up keeping because its my mommas.l
Hope you had a sweet Pink Saturday
Cynthia
