~SWEET FRIENDS IN ITALIAN PLACES~

~VINTAGE ITALIAN POSTCARD~

For our wedding anniversary in 2013, my Mr. AGPMan and I have a trip planned to visit Europe.  I am more excited about it than I can say!  We plan on touring all the beautiful places we've only read about since we married in 1978.  Three years seems like a long time to wait...but, the years will pass by anyway and we might as well spend part of them planning something very, very special.

I've been in love with all things Italian since I was seven.  It was around that time when Anne and Dominick Ducato immigrated from Italy and moved into the tiny track home directly across the street from our family.  It was also the year that I learned that really good spaghetti was NEVER going to be found in a can (Chef Boyardee comes to mind here!).  Today I continue to love Italian Cooking and faithfully watch Lydia's Italy on the CREATE Channel.  I'm in love with vintage Italian linens and have been known to look far and wide to find great prices on textiles produced by Sferra Brothers (Tuesday Morning is a great place to find new, off-priced Italian Linens).

Today I'm back in my studio working on some sweet projects for my website, but I couldn't let the morning hours pass without sharing with you two gorgeous women who have blessed me and my business...and they just happen to live in Italy!  Because I love to put a face with a name, I asked begged each of them to send me a picture showing them in their homeland...
~BEAUTIFUL VALERIA~

From all accounts, and from what I understand about both of these beautiful ladies, they are the BEST of friends.  I hope someday, when we finally make it to Italy, I will be able to meet them in person, dine with them, and thank them personally for their friendship as well as all the business they've given me over the years.  I've been more blessed than I can say.
~LOVELY DEBBY~

Aren't they beautiful women?  Thank you Valeria and Debby!  You mean more to me than I can say!

Blessings as you value the friendships you've made both here in America and abroad.

 Love to you~

Yes, your friends are lovely. What fun you will have planning your trip. I love Florence and the old areas of Rome, where my dh and I spent two weeks. But we didn't visit Venice (insert tears here). We read The Agony and the Ecstasy while in Florence, which helped us feel the history. You might want to read that book.

What lovely ladies! And your anniversary trip to be sounds wonderful. Marriages which last as long as yours are few and far between these days--it is so lovely to know there are others out there, who, with hard work and God's help have healthy happy marriages!

Hi Rebecca :) How wonderful to be able to plan a trip to Europe! 3 years isn't too long away, you'll have plenty of time to work out exactly how and where you want to go and visit.

It's so nice to be able to put a face to Valeria! She has purchased some of my items before :) She is a lovely and very beautiful lady!

Wishing you a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Warmest always, Brenda

Hi Rebecca, Well, you know I love all things Italian being Italian and my Grandma from Naples, Italy. We too hope to plan a trip for our anniversary.
I am so thrilled to see a pic of Debby as she has been a valued customer of mine as well. She is a delight and I just love seeing her in your pic. They both are gorgeous gals and as Debby said to me once, Since I am Italian living in the U.S. she would not hold it against me since my Grandma is from Naples. LOL!! I just love her.

Friendships are so special!!
Rebecca, I am trying to list your button but having lots of trouble with opening the code. Help!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day and weekend.
Love, Celestina Marie

Your two friends are beautiful and isn't it nice to have friends who live in a much different place then you do so they can share their culture and foods with you!And won't it be such fun to meet them in person one day!!
Italian food is my favorite, too!!
I remember the FEASTS that were presented to us at the restaurants we dined in...WOW!!
Time will pass quickly while you wait and dream....big hugs, Francy

Hi sweetie, I think your plans for a trip to Italy for your anniversary sounds wonderful. Meeting your friends in person will be the icing on the cake.
I have missed a couple of wonderful posts here Rebecca, I love the sweet story about Miss K shopping with you for 'dead people's stuff' as Kelley would say. And the frame you painted turned out gorgeous. I love it when you explain just how you make things so beautiful! Try as I may though...I will never paint as great as you do!
hugs

I think it's wonderful that you have three years to plan and think about this wonderful trip. For me, planning and thinking about an upcoming trip is half the fun and excitement.

Your friends are so pretty, but so are you..... three pretty women.
