~MY ROMANTIC COTTAGE BEDROOM...Lovin' The Lighter Side of Pink~

 ~MY COTTAGE CHIC BOUDOIR~

I had such a wonderful time last week showing you all our TINY Master Bath Makeover and I continue to be OVER THE MOON happy that it is 99% finished!  I feel like I have my life back...no kidding!!!  As soon as the custom shower doors darken the steps outside my front door (and then get installed) I'll show the the final shots of our extremely INTENSE redo project!
~LOTS of CREAMS and a muted SOFT PINKS~

I've promised you for the longest time to show you a few pictures of our space-challenged master bedroom.  I hate to keep harping on the size of what I believe is one of the most important spaces in our entire home, but the fact of the matter is our bedroom and bathroom are very small to be called a 'master of anything!'.  Still, as the years have clicked by I've grown to love the room for what it is and even sometimes do the happy dance because it's not tooo big to clean! :)
~FOREVER IN LOVE WITH OLD LACE~
~I'M ALSO IN LOVE WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL PRINT~

~TRULY ROMANTIC~

I love the newer, refined Cottage Style and I have to admit that as the trends for chic and shabby decor have changed I find I'm continuing to lean more and more to simpler and less complicated lines.  I still love aging lace, antique hats, old linens and vintage millinery (always will!), but these days I'm less likely to over indulge in accessorizing.
 ~LOVE VINTAGE STEMWARE and CHINA~
~ROMANTIC PILLOWS and OLD BUTTONS are a MUST!~
 ~FABULOUS FRENCH FURNITURE~

Remember last Summer when I shared with you about snagging this fabulous vintage French Provincial Furniture for $100???  I'm still not over that amazing 'I nearly fell over dead' find!  I'm crazy-in-love with each piece and the price I paid for them all still makes me SWOON!
~VINTAGE BRIDES and my Mr. AGPMan and I~

I love old wedding day photos and display them in my bedroom...totally romantic!  I love to see the smiling faces of the brides and their neatly groomed hubbies!  They seem to hold so much faith and promise for their lives...
 ~MY DADDY'S BIG SISTER~

I just recently came across this darling old photo of my Aunt Ethel Laura Elizabeth.  I absolutely adore her dress and I'm in total shock over how truly tiny, tiny, tiny she is!  My Uncle John was incredibly handsome, too.
They are both in heaven now...
 ~MISBEHAVIN' MOLLIE~

And just when you probably FORGOT about me tattling on my Miss Mollie and about her getting on my bed, etc...

Well...when I left the room to do a couple unrelated things I returned to find that my beloved Yorkie, Mollie, had ONCE AGAIN jumped up on top of my bed pillows!  When I called her name she looked up at me, but never moved!  I'm beginning to think the consequences for her misbehavin' aren't nearly as serious as they need to be!

I only THOUGHT I was the Queen around here!  Not so!

Hope you loved the peek into my private space.  As soon as our crown molding is up and our 2die4 chandelier is installed (it's gonna make your heart skip a beat!) I'll show you even more!

Blessings and love to you...

Ooooooo, thanks for showing us photos of your bedroom..it is very
beautiful and the simplicity of it
makes it even more elegnant! I cannot believe your luck at finding that furniture for $100.00!Could you tell me who the artist is of your gorgeous painting?? I see a strong resemblence of style to a few paintings I have by a Russian couple....and I just love mine. Yours is so lovely, too.
I think Miss Mollie likes being up on your bed best of all places! What a cutie she is barely seeking up from behind the pillows! Aren't they just too precious to really punish? My Markie looks at me with those big sad eyes if I scold her
and I just want to scoop her up and
give her smooches!
Alway waiting to see what you are going to show us next..it's always
beautiful and jaw-dropping, what-
ever it is!
Big hugs, Francy

How perfectly pretty everything is! Where do you find such beautiful lace? We don't have the flea markets here that most bloggers seem to find their lace at. Maybe I should check ebay?
You have such an eye for beautiful things.

Well, you are going to start laughing- I just know it...but I usually scroll pictures and then go back and read...and I went to the one of your bed and all I saw was the SHAPE of what was on your pillow and I thought...what is a CHICKEN doing on her pillow? Just scroll past it quickly and see for yourself...lol

The bedroom is beautiful...and I am like you-I quit using as much lace and frou-frou as I used to and have gone to simpler cleaner lines. I do think it is pretty but I am not so "victorian" anymore...

I can't wait to see your master bathroom COMPLETE. You will be over the moon, I know! hugs- Diana

Dearest Rebecca,

Your Master bed might be small (in YOUR thoughts) but consider that in Europe most rooms are very limited in space, certainly in Asia. What counts is, you made it into a very romantic 'haven' for the two of you + Mollie! She is so cute AND smart!!!
For their relatively short lives, why fuzz at them? Let them be happy and they mean so well by wanting to be in that 'dream-world' of ours, with our smell and our presence. It's a compliment from them, meaning they feel very sheltered in there.
You have a very lovely place and sure own lots of lace!

Have a great week.

How I enjoyed the tour of your lovely "master" bedroom! It is simply devine! You gave me a very good idea too... I have my grandmother's old buttons and I love the idea of putting them in a glass container to display! What a wonderful idea. As my grandmother is the one who taught me to sew, I would love to display them. Thanks for sharing your beautiful room with us. Looking forward to more peeks, especially of that chandelier!

I think Miss Mollie knows a good thing when she sees it! Your bed looks so comfy, your whole bedroom is charming!

I know what you mean about having very little space in your bedroom...ours is small, too and although it's easy to clean, I find that I have so much clutter. So I, too am trying to simplify a bit.

Keep up the good work on your bath!

XO,
Jane

Rebecca, Your master bedroom is like a dreamland. I love everything about it. The colors are so soft and romantic. You know how I love that French Provincial furniture. I also love the old panel door next to your bed and how you've made it into a shelf. I have my old bedroom panel door (long story) from my old home that I grew up in. It's in storage because I've been waiting to find the perfect thing to do with it. Now, I know I have. You have inspired me once again. When I do get to do it, I will give you credit when I post about it.

Love,
Lee Laurie

P.S. Molly is a dolly :) Precious.
