SURGERY IT IS...

Dear Blogger Friends...

It's been many, many months since I posted here on my wee little blog.  Much has happened since I last chatted with you and if I'm being honest I just haven't been my old self.  Since the car accident I was in on May 19th I've struggled to regain my health and in mid January of this year I opted for surgery to repair the damaged caused to my neck during the collision.  I've spent the better part of 9 months STANDING UP because sitting caused me to have unrelenting muscle spasms in my neck and the worse pain I've ever known...  Try standing while doing EVERYTHING and you will understand what I mean.  My hips, legs and feet have paid a high price for my spine injury.

And so.this morning, at 6AM, I will be checking into one of our local hospitals for what I'm told will be a 4-5 hour ordeal.  I'm not afraid...just anxious for it all to be over.  I'll be spending a couple of days there and hopefully will be released on Wednesday.

I want my life back.  As crazy and as complicated as it was at times...I miss it.

I have so much to update you on and once I'm well again, I hope to share with you all the wonderful things that have been going on...

I'd be so grateful for your prayers, if you could spare a few.  Especially for my family.  My Mr. AGP Man and my children (and my Miss K who will be 15 this year) have been through so much with me.

Blessings to you all.  Will share more when I can.

Love to you~

Rebecca

Rebecca, Thinking of you. Will pray. Sorry you have been suffering. May you improve and get your life back. Hoping for the best. May surgery help. My eyes bugged out when I read Miss K will be 15. Where has the time gone? 15. My oldest Grandchild is now 15 and soon she'll be sweet 16. Time flies sometimes or at least some things seem to move faster than others. I've been blogging close to 8 and a half years. Mercy. Have read your blog for awhile now. Miss reading it. Understand what has been going on though.
God bless,
d

I hope all went well with the operation, my goodness, what terrible pain you must have put with all that time!

Oh, my DEAR! What an ordeal!! I'm so sorry this happened to you, and hope that you're now walking out of the hospital into a whole new posture and ease and healing.

This is so sad to hear, but so hopeful in the outlook for a swift, happy recovery. That has to be really hard on you to stand constantly---I hope that this will spell a new meaning to the jolly phrase, "Take the load off." So glad to hear your outlook and ever-cheery voice after so long, and I wish you the very best outcome after all these struggles and pain.

Looking forward to your speedy recovery and frequent sit-downs in that chair at your computer---I've MISSED YOU!!

PS Just casually looked into the topic "7 things about me," and am just rolling in my own LIZARDLESS floor laughing at the comment from your dear witty Mr. AGP! Hilarious and priceless. Between that wit and way with words, and THAT KITCHEN, I nominate him for Absolutely the Perfect Husband.

Aren't WE the lucky ones?

Rebecca, I hope all goes well. When you tell people about painful backs, they don't know how horrible it can be if they have never experienced it. I wouldn't even try to understand what it has been like, but I am so sorry for what you have been going through and hope that this operation will do the job and get you back to where you want to be. Take care, Judy
