~MEMORIES and MOMENTS to SAVOR~

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES
TO SAVOR

When I was a bitty girl I remember well my mother telling me the story of The Three Trees. I don’t recall how old I was when she first shared with me the spirit-warming tale, or even if there was a picture book to go along with her softly spoken words. My heart tells me there wasn’t. I only know I listened carefully, quietly to all she had to say. Each and every time she told the story, and even though I knew the ending, I was always filled with a sense of awe by it’s meaning. Somehow I knew even then that God had a wonderful plan for my life.

As I decorated the Christmas Tree in my family room yesterday I couldn’t help reflect upon the words my Mother lovingly shared during my story telling time. Even after all these years it’s message rings loud and clear. All that I’ve dreamed of for my life can’t even come close to what God has planned for me. His hopes and dreams for my future have always been so much better, so much sweeter than mine.

If you aren’t familiar with “The Tale of Three Trees” I encourage you to find a copy (available Online and at Barnes & Noble) and read it aloud to those you love. It’s heartwarming, inspiring and full of amazing love and grace.

JUST ONE OF SEVERAL BOOKS

Blessings to you as you honor the MIRACLE of Christmas…Rebecca

Hello again, that is such a sweet little book...and full of meaning.

Lots of demand for the big picture book and also the board book for little tots...

Hi Rebecca,
Me again. :-) Just wanted to let you know that I have read this book before....LOVE IT! I believe it was given to my daughter as a gift when she was very little. I remember the first time my hubby and I read it to her...keep in mind it was the first time we had ever read the story...neither of us could finish reading it. It touched us so much it brought us to tears. I defenitely recommend to everyone.

Tons of love,
♥Ana

Good morning Rebecca. After reading your post hopped over to Barnes & Noble ordered the book. I can't wait to get it.

My granddaughters and I decorated the tree on Friday. I must say I was moving very slow, between all the cooking and ALL the FOOD on Thursday I was pooped. I had a house full but I would do it all over again in a minute!

Have a blessed week my friend.
Hugs and much love, Sue

What a sweet memory. I was helping my Mom decorate her tree yesterday and we were talking about how you remember all the Christmas's when you were small with such fond memories. I will have to look the book up and read it. Check out my Christmas decorating on my blog. Your ornament you painted me is center front on my white tree and it is so beautiful.

Hugs
Ginger

Thank you Rebecca for letting me know about the story of Three Trees. I will be sure and look it up.

I also ended up laughing until my sides hurt at the antics of my pre-Thanksgiving day.

God's Blessings to you always my friend.

Lastly most heartfelt Blessings to you this day. I fully know how you felt about your dear Grandmother. I do not go by without remembering my Grandparents and they are now gone over 20 years. Some people are irreplacable in our lives, Maureen....

Becky--
What an insightful post. I had nealy forgotten about this story. I think it originated in "Christmas Ideals" around 1960 -- Not sure of the date. This has always been one of my favorite, all time stories. The book is a must for young and old alike.
Love you-- Mom

As I read your post about the special book read to you by your Mother, I couldn't help but think how my Mother would read to me until I fell asleep. Oh, how I cherish those days.
I will check on this book and probably buy it for myself.
