~THOUGHTS ON A SUNDAY MORNING~

~THOUGHTS ON A SUNDAY MORNING~

Today I only want to share with you the lyrics of a song that ushered into my life much needed peace when I was a child.

Written in the early 1970's by Flo Price, the meaning of the words are as timely today as they were when they were first penned almost 40 years ago. Thank God that in the midst of angry, fighting men and hatred worldwide, we have something wonderful to look forward to when our time on earth is done.

May God continue to send His peace to the families of those who were injured and slain this week in Texas.

BRIGHT NEW WORLD

Someday a bright new wave
Will Break upon the shore
And there will be no sickness
No More dying, no more war.
And little children never will
Go Hungry anymore~

And there will be a bright
New Morning over there
There will be a bright
New world for us to share

Someday there will be an end
To unkind words and cruel
The man who said there is no God
Will know he is a fool
And peace will be a way of life
With love the only rule~

And there will be a bright
New Morning over there
There will be a bright
New World for us to share

Someday we know not when
When time on earth is done
But those redeemed from every land
Will all become as one
And peace will be a way of life
With God, the Three-In-One

And there will be a bright
New Morning over there
There will be a bright
New World for us to share

Blessings to you this beautiful Sunday...Rebecca

How beautiful the verses, His promises carry us on despite all of the sin that prevails. TY for this post today, sweet friend.

May all the loss of & injuries to life this week in these horrific tirades, & in wars, be remembered, honored & blessed.

Hugs of love, TTFN ~ Marydon

Sweet Rebecca....

"The man who said there is no God will know he is a fool".... I'm always surprised by the people who deny God. I just think about all of things that go on in our bodies simultaneously and wonder how that could possibly have happened without God. Don't you think it takes MORE faith to believe there is NO God? It's a lovely song...with such a wonderful promise. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, the test. YUK. Well, not the test....that's pretty zippy...it's the PREP. YIKES.

Big hugs to you sweet girlie!
Spence

Bec sugar, come over and see the little "letters" I made for the laundry. I think you'll want to do some also.

I've spent the weekend in Stake Conference getting a new stake president and feel like I've been lifted up so much I head hurts, chick. Good uplifting though. Much to be grateful for in this world today.

xoxo,
Connie

This is a lovely song, and like you, I often find a song we sing in church that truly speaks to my heart.
Sometimes in church they print out the lyrics for us, so I can take them home, for singing in the car and around the house.
It is a dark world, at times, but we Christians have a lot of hope and light.

Rebecca,

Thank you SO much for posting these lyrics!! I've been searching for them. I remember the song from my youth choir more than twenty years ago (wow, that makes me feel old.. haha) and I always LOVED it. The version we sang was slightly different, but 95% the same.. such a strong & beautiful song!! Thank you again & God Bless.. =)
