~OH THE PLACES YOU WILL GO~

~I STARTED WITH THIS~
Vintage Sheet Music

For those of you who live within the United States you probably know how terrible the weather has been in the State of Oklahoma. Except for one evening (Friday night!), I stayed hold up :( inside my La Chaumière de Briarwood just about ready to climb the walls! The snow and ice held us captive for days and days! For a while there I was wondering if I was living in a fairly fancy padded cell or something...

I'm a GET 'ER DONE kinda girl and let no snow build up under my feet (sorry...couldn't resist the stupid humor here!).... I really mean it when I say I HAVE to be doing something or I go mad!
~NEXT CAME THIS~

Gorgeous Vintage Lace From Kim

And soooo... I decided to refocus my attention on learning more about the PAINT SHOP PRO X (PSPX) computer program I told you about a few days ago. Since my Mr. AGPMan was caged here at home with me I figured his assistance would be a huge plus.

He's TARZAN :) to me, his SCREAMING Jane! (HAHAHHAHA)

~A SWEET PINK BOW - A MUST~
Taken from a Charming Old Postcard

Now...before you start thinking the desire to learn this PSPX was some new passion that welled up within me, let me tell you straight up...it wasn't. I've thought about taking on this complicated MONSTER for months and months (more like fifty) and finally just decided that 2010 was going to be the year!

~VINTAGE SHELL BUTTONS~
Photographed on Black Paper

So, I sat down early this afternoon determined to create SOMETHING!!! I knew in my head exactly what I wanted to make but getting that idea to jump out of my brain and then show itself on my monitor was going to be a challenge. Since I love vintage graphics and old ephemera, aging laces, buttons, ribbons, etc., I decided to combine them all together and start there...

~VINTAGE ROSES from Miss KLEIN~
My Favorite Rose Painter EVER!

My love for roses, especially those painted by Cathrine Klein, just had to be included!

~SWEET HEART FRAME~
This Graphic is a Keeper!

I just adore the sweet little heart shaped frame you see above. But...the girl inside it left me a bit wanting. And so...I replaced her with the pink rose beauty you see below...
~BE STILL MY HEART~
I Would LOVE to Own This Hat

Now, in the spirit of FULL DISCLOSURE, I have to admit by the time I got up from my computer chair my back was sore and my head was pounding and my TINY :) :) :) little Bumm was numb...

BUT............
~SWEET GATHERINGS~

My SPIRIT was soaring! Somehow I was able to gather all the things you see above and merge them into one design. I'm going to add some glass glitter and a loving sentiment and hopefully you'll see this timeless little sweetie marketed in one way or another by early Spring.

Oh the places you (and I) will go if only we have the courage to take that first step. Blessings to you as you create what's inside your heart...

REALLY NICE RESULTS on your project my friend.

You can get as HOOKED on PSPX like you do on blogging..and the hours fly by at an amazing pace.

But you can as you now know... make anything you wish with seperate images.
I love my PSP program...but very frustating to learn at times..I still have not mastered how to MOVE things from a seperate image to another seperate image in PSP..( I must be missing a step somewhere along the way )
So I go over to my PhotoShop Elements program and do it..REALLY easy there for me.

Congratulations! Stating to work with one of those programs is QUITE the challenge. I got Photo Shop (not sure which version) from Mr. Scaper for Christmas and only venture there with the assistance of my school aged daughter LOL!

Oh Dear Rebecca! I know it can be so delightful when it all comes together!! Funny, I was working yesterday in PHOTOSHOP!!! My poor little brain hurt so hard, but I did learn a couple of things! I am also working with vintage images to use in some projects for a future endeavor.

Pray that it will just get poured into my brain! My hubby knows less about it than me!!

Have a blessed week!!
Love ya!

Hello Rebecca!
I love what you have been working on! The image of the lady in the pink hat reminds me of my Grandmother in the 1920's. Can't wait to see what else you come up with. I have cabin fever also and I'm daydreaming of spring!

Nice job R!! I've been playing around with this program, photoshop and picassa to slice and dice all sorts of images to see how they come out. It's amazing all this technology. It does have it uses. :)
