Dear Bloggie Friends~
Thank you to all of you who sent notes and emails to me last night regarding the terrible tornadoes and weather damage here in Oklahoma. Your thoughts and concern for my family and I as well as the lovely people of Oklahoma are overwhelming.
Somehow, by God grace, we dodged any damage wrought by this springtime storm. Both our children and their families are fine and I'm happy to say our brand new roof survived her first close-call! It was ONE SCARY EVENING let me tell you!
Unfortunately, many of the towns not far from us suffered serious destruction and ruin and the latest reports are saying that several people have lost their lives. I'm originally from California and I promise you I never once experienced a single earthquake that frightened me more than this storm did...

Please pray for OKLAHOMA! One thing is for certain. Lives here as well as those in several other of our States have been forever changed.
Thank you. Thank you all. And bless you.
Love to you~

Glad to hear you are okay. I spent over 45 mins. in the closet with my little JRT and Shih Tzu tonight as our sirens were going off two different times! Of course with my luck, hubby was out of town, but we made it thru just fine, too. Only a tad of small hail.

I'm so thankful to read this post, I've been thinking and praying for you.
This year's weather is so scary. I pray it stops the destruction.
Hugs and love,
SO glad to know you and your family are fine. When I saw the photos on TV last evening, I was very concerned for you.
It has been a devastating tornado season this year; rather like the hurricane season of a few years ago. I pray it is now over and that relative calm settles in.
By the way, I am leaving early tomorrow morning for a trip to Florida...but I am terrified of flying. If you think of me, please pray for me.
Love,
Patti
I thought about you last night, Rebecca, as we were watching the news. I'm so relieved to know that you're alright. We had a scare here the night before last (I'm in Indiana). The tornado sirens went off...and from our neighborhood (which sits on a hill a bit north of town) we could see the dark clouds sitting right over the top of downtown. Thankfully, no damage aside from a few downed limbs...but there were a couple of small funnels sighted south of us.
We will certainly pray for the good folks in Oklahoma...as well as the people of Joplin, Missouri.

These tornadoes are so awful. I have been in a tornado before, and they are just terrifing.
Praying for all of those who were affected.

Happy to hear your family, and new roof, made it through the storms. It was another wicked day of storms. There were several moments I was ready to run to the closet! My prayers are with those communities that did experience damage and loss.

So glad you & yours are safe & sound!! The weather patterns this year make me grateful we are in the mountains of Pennsylvania.....Yep, even with all the snow!!
Love Ya'....Marilyn
I did not know your state had any terrible storms last night until I turned on the computer this morning
I immediately went to your blog to check to see if you had posted anything, and was relieved to find your little area was spared. I pray that it continues to be...it must be terrifying to have tornadoes so near-by...sort of like our hurricanes, but we get more warning time...Be safe.......
Love, Francy
Thank you for posting and letting us know that you and your family are safe and sound. I was listening to the news this morning while getting ready for work and thought about you.
My heart aches for the countelss victims of this unprecedented weather these last few weeks. At times I have to stop watching the news because it was becomes overwhelming to me. I cannot bear to see suffering.

HI Rebecca, I was so glad to see this post this morning when I checked my blog before I went to work. I thought about you and wondered how close you were to the storms. We have sure had them this year. We have been lucky, they have been all around us. We have just had the hail, rain, and wind. The funnel cloud was there today, but it didn't come down. Take care and I am glad you got your new roof. Your Missouri Friend.
thinking of you and all of Oklahoma.
Praying.
My son and family lives in Shawnee. He was told to go home early from work in Oklahoma City due to storms. Roads were over crowded and traffic was bad getting home, but all is safe.
Praise God,
d
so happy you were not affected by this last round of storms. We were dodging a bullet ourselves here in No. Texas. I hope it's all behind us for this year. Hugs, Janet!!!
