~~~~~~~~WHAT'S IN YOUR FRIDGE?~~~~~~~~ And Why I Love Being Married
~TOP OF MY FRIDGE~
The stormy weather here in Oklahoma (that included yet another EARTHQUAKE last night!) makes me feel unsettled.  I love rain, even a down pour.  But I don't like storms with torrential rain or the whipping wind that often comes with it.  The thunder and the quaking earth were both pretty scary and seemed to shake my La Chaumière de Briarwood to her core.  Our chandeliers were swaying, the windows were rattling and our Yorkie, Mollie, was crying to be held...  I was so glad when I woke up this morning to fairly clear skies and eagerly welcomed another fresh, new day!
And then I remembered...
My Mr. AGPMan was leaving on a business trip and would be gone a few days...
Even after all these years of marriage I hate it when he's gone.
Oh...I get lots of things done while my hubby is away~  Lots of dusting and spit-shining and he always returns to a super-clean house with all the laundry done and floors mopped!
I still hate it.
Anyway...the sun was just coming up when we said our good-byes.  I gave my guy a quick kiss, told him I loved him and said he was in my prayers and off he went.  I began my day as I always do by making my bed and then jumping into the shower and planning breakfast.
 ~FRESH CUT STRAWBERRIES~
(My Favorite)
Since dropping 40 pounds earlier this year I've worked really hard at keeping the weight off so I pretty much eat the same boring thing every day.  Fresh fruit (usually strawberries, blueberries or raspberries if they are in season), cottage cheese (1/2 cup) and a cup of hot tea.  Strawberries are always my third choice which is odd because they are my favorite fruit!  I'm just lazy sometimes...I hate hulling them!
~PINK ROSEBUD TEACUP~
I put the kettle on, pulled out my favorite teacup (I use it every single day).  It's pink and full of tiny pink rosebuds and using it makes me happy!  I then opened my refrigerator (that honestly needs to be demoted to the garage and a new one purchased!) to grab my cottage cheese and fruit...
It was then I saw this:
~ LOVE NOTE FROM MY GUY~
And this, my friends, is just one of the many reasons I am happy and blessed...
I'm off to paint more pink rose pretties.  They'll be on my website late this evening!
Hope your day is wonderful...
Love to you~
Oh! Your hubby is so sweet! It really is the little things!
I don't like when my husband is away...it's just too quiet and I'm not crazy about sleeping alone. At least you have your pooch!
I hope it stays sunny for you!
Is there anything more romantic than a man who loves the Lord? I think not! Loved this SO much. Thanks for sharing, and I'm glad that all is well after the earthquake. I can't believe y'all had one in Oklahoma!
Aw! How sweet. My guy isn't much for notes but he loves me in other ways.
I grew up in Wa state and experienced earth quakes there. You never get used to them!
aren't you just so glad you lost that weight? I'm still losing weight over here and it's just so fun! ♥
How sweet! I love to receive notes. I keep them in a safe place and on those days where I need a cheer me up I read through them. I hope he won't be gone for too long. I hope I don't ever have to experience my hubby being away. I know that if he ever does have to it unfortunately won't be just a few days. He is in the USAF. We are actually stationed at Tinker. We felt that earthquake and storm too last night. The big one was my first and I can't believe how strong the last two have been! It is very scary. I hope if we are due for another that your man will be back by then! Take care!
Love it too when he leaves me these little notes. I always hated it too when he had to travel - he doesn't anymore and I must say I never did get use to it.
Keep safe
My hubby left before 7 on Saturday morning to go see his brothers and sister for a few days. He is on his way home right now. (Tuesday) I never like to be apart from my man!
He prayed with me and gave me a kiss before he left, and I appreciate that so much. I am touched that your hubby left you that note and did little act of love by fixing your strawberries! What a guy!
of course I am sure he is madly in love with his sweet and beautiful wifey!
We have been feeling your earthquakes here in Kansas too. I don't like the earth to move under my feet! I am from Calif. and we had them there when I was growing up...but somehow it just doesn't feel right to experience them here in the Midwest!
I am so glad that God holds us in His hands and that he is our refuge and our strength!
Love, Linda
Good evening Rebecca
You are very lucky indeed! Thank you for stopping in to see me today... your comments are always so sweet. We are loving our condo and although I do miss our 1924 home I sure don't miss the upkeep. We are so happy we kept our favourite Antiques and collectables for the new place. Have a wonderful rest of the week my friend and I hope your weather settles down soon.
Hugs,
Wanda
