Last night my Mr. AGPMan and I attended an Open House for the first semester graduating class at SNU. A week from today (that is SATURDAY the 8th!!!) I will watch my beloved receive his LONG OVER DUE diploma. I snapped both pictures you see while he was waiting to get his cap and gown...
As I reflect back upon the past 18 months I'm so grateful Steven was finally able to return to school and earn his degree in Computer Science. Even though there will always be a twinge of regret over him not finishing college when we were still young, today I'm overjoyed the path was made straight once again.
Ever since his class ended two weeks ago I've had to work at getting use to my guy being accessible again. It's just the weirdest thing as I've come and gone alone since about May of last year. For so long his evenings and weekends were filled up and overflowing with studying and classwork that I rarely asked him for help unless it was really important. I learned really fast what was critical and what was not. For 32 years he was my go-to-guy and I really had to learn to function a lot on my own~ It took a lot of adjusting I can assure you! Now, instead of being a student he's just my hubby again...and I'm one proud and HAPPY wifey.
Last weekend he said:
"You wanna go junkin' or go see a movie?"
(nearly.fainted)
We both missed our old life so much.
We feel like we've come home again.
For those of you who followed the school drama/saga since the beginning and offered your words of encouragement...well again, I can't thank you enough.
God is good.
About to cross the finish line now...
~~*~~
This next week I'll be showing you pictures of our home dressed for Christmas. Don't faint...but gone are the pink decorations (I know! I KNOW!)... In their place are soft, natural whites and a tree filled with family photos, keepsake ornaments, vintage tinsel and all things merry and bright.
Blessings for a lovely day. December 1st. Wow...the year has flashed by with lightening speed~
Love to you...

Congratuations to oth of you. Without each other giving up parts of their lives this never would have happened. You have both earned this diploma! You must be so proud of each other. Of course I am not taking anything away from all the hard work that Steven had put in. I am really proud of him for going back to school and earning his long awaited degree. Not everyone can do this. But I am also proud of you for giving him the space, love and support to get this done. NOW how are you going to celebrate! Trip, dinner, celebratory meal with family? Something this cool needs some kind of celebration!! Again congratuations. I am wearing a big grin as I am so happy for the both of you!
So happy for you to have your husband back :)! Enjoy the holidays and congrats on his graduation.
:-)
So happy for you both, I know it has been a long road for both of you and I know you are so proud. I can't imagine going back to school. He is to be commended.
Can't wait to see your new white decor. I know it will be over the moon. Congratulations Steve.

How exciting, Rebecca! It must seem more real to him what he has accomplished, and that he is done, picking up the cap and gown. It took me 5 years to get a 2 year degree in Criminal Justice ~ part time. I was determined I was going to the graduation, even if I felt like the oldest student there at 36.
Congratulations for the degree!! But as I think I've told you before I'm most envious of your SUMMA CUM LAUDE in marriage. God has blessed you with each other and you're an example to tell about.
Hope your coming surgery goes perfect & that you'll recover well & fast
Love,
Cristina
P.S. Still waiting for the decals ;-)
What a blessing to be able to accomplish what he has.It is not easy to go back to school.
Congratulations!

Congratulations Steven! I know this is a huge accomplishment! I'm not sure if I would even remember how to study! I'm glad you both have your regular life back now! What a blessing it must be to finally have some time to relax! Enjoy your graduation - you really earned it! Looking forward to pics of it and your Christmas decorated home! Hugs, Leena
Happiness abounds!! God is Good in all stages of life.♥♫
Dearest Rebecca,
So glad you are at this stage now. Once more, congratulations. It was a good learning period also for you as well, managing to deal with things on your own. I had to do that a lot when Pieter was traveling 90% of the time for Campbell's Soup as their VP Training & Development, doing seminars all over the US, Canada and Australia... I KNOW the feeling of having a husband all to yourself. Enjoy it. Happy Advent weekend to both of you.

Congratulations and blessings on you both.

Congratulations! I know how those days of hubby in school can be. I'm glad you've found the end of them. : )
Congrats to your sweet hubby! It is so awesome that he is realizing a dream! Love this testimony!
congratulations to you both! you must
be elated!
Hearty congratulations to both you and Hubby! Know it has been a long road but what a wonderful accomplishment! My hubby is actually thinking about going back to school also--- he is so busy with ministry and hospice chaplaincy that I am not sure how it will be able to be done but, if it is what God is wanting, know He can make it happen.
bee blessed

Congratulations again on your hubby's accomplishment! That is wonderful...and I know you are so proud of him! And I am sure he is very thankful for such a wonderful wife!
My hubby asks me if I want to go junkin' too...and one of our past-times is going to the movies too. We call them "dates"!!!!
Yup...even at 62 and 67 we still have dates. And I love our times together. In fact I love him more every day!
I can't wait to see your house all decorated for Christmas!
Love, Linda
