~THANK YOU, MARILYN...Today You Blessed Me!~

~Ohhhh...What's Inside?~

I love getting packages in the mail, don't you?

~A Sweet Handwritten Note~

Today Mr. Postman delivered me a box that I knew was coming, but I had no idea just what was inside.  Miss Marilyn from OUR VICTORIAN COTTAGE wrote me last week saying she was sending me something and to be expecting a box from her...  Marilyn has a WONDERFUL Blog and I hope you will stop by and check it out for yourself.  She's having a great giveaway, too!  But hurry up...it ends soon!

~Fabulous Vintage Children's Books~

I guess commenting on other Blogger's Blogs pays off!!!  I mentioned on one of Marilyn's posts that I loved her vintage children's books and reading to my sweet Miss K was one of my most favorite things to do, EVER!
~Just Lovely~

Well...this lovely gal sent me the books that she had duplicates of!  How wonderful is that?  Now...the next time I read to the 'light of my life' I'm going straight for my new stash of old books.  Miss K is staying the weekend here at Nana's and we always snuggle in my bed for story-time.  She is seven years old now and from all appearances she will be twenty :( before I have another one! :) :) :)  I think it's time to start naggin'....

Thank you, Marilyn.  Today you blessed me.

What a delightful surprise!

Marilyn is, indeed, one of the sweetest and most generous ladies out there in Bloglandia!

Looks like you have lots of new material to share with Miss K!

G'morn, Rebecca ~ That is so sweet of Marilyn, & just like her generous loving heart. What treasures you now have to share with Miss K & then she with her children ... memories to share forever. Marilyn is a very special lady.

I got a kick out of Ansel & Tatiana ... when I tried to read to them last time I was told 'we KNOW how to read Mimi' & I said 'there is nothing like Mimi reading to you, one day you will appreciate these moments' ... so they sat down & listened. I got quite a chuckle out of them ... they grow TOO fast! Shoot! I read to mine until they were in the near teens ... all snuggled together on the couch.

Hugs of love, Marydon

You are so welcome Rebecca....When you talk about snuggling with your Miss K it reminds me of doing the same with my Sweet Daughter. She is now 38 but oh, how I miss those times. So-o-o-o...think of me when you are reading to your little bundle of love & give her a little extra squeeze for me.
Love You ....
Marilyn

This sounds like something my mother would have done. If she knew that you liked something, she was willing to get it if at all possible. Enjoy your wonderful books! And thank you, Rebecca, for entering me for your lovely drawing!
