~~~~TRANSFORMING VINTAGE BABY SHOES~~~~ They Continue to be My Passion
(Romantic Cottage Chic Confections)
For the past three days I've been busy working in my studio, visiting with out-of-town family and meeting up with old friends!  I've had a super full week I can assure you!  In the midst of lots and lots of chatter I managed to get some special orders finished (Thank you, Maria) even though I had to deal with some frustrations caused by a faulty computer router. :(  Such things make me totally insane remind me to breathe deep and to remember that there was life BEFORE computers... :)
 ~GREAT FINDS FROM LAST WEEKEND~
(Old Baby Shoes for $1)
I love transforming old baby shoes and turning them into sweet keepsakes and mementos.  I put the final touches on the six leather baby shoes you see in the top photo and I should have them on my website later today!  I hope you'll check them out when you have time!  All the vintage and antique baby shoes I snagged last week have been base painted and they will be available for purchase sometime later this year!
Such fun!
 ~MY MOTHER~
(Sooo Happy We Had This Made)
A couple of days ago my mother, sister and I stopped into JC Penney and had some new pictures made.  Incredibly by the same afternoon our portraits were available to view online!  I couldn't believe it!  Here is a sneak-peak at the final results!  I snapped these from my computer screen...not too bad, huh?
 ~MY MOTHER, LINDA and I~
(Love This Sepia Tone)
~IN LIVING COLOR~
(Mom, Me, Linda)
Hope you are having an awesome week!  I've been missing you!  Promise to get around and visit my favorite blogs and bloggies this weekend!
Love to you...
Hey Darlin'! As much as you giveaway and as generous as you are I'm surprised karma's doesn't have you winning every giveaway you enter. Thanks for stopping by and especially for taking the time to comment. It means so much. Love, Love, Love those sweet baby shoes. I can't believe you found a bag full for $1.00. WOW!!! The thrift stores here are thinking everything is an antique anymore, even the faded clothes have antique prices. Really the junk shops, Good Will's, etc...don't even have anything good lately.
I'm so glad you had the pictures done. They are just beautiful. Really!
Have a fun weekend.
The portraits are absolutely beautiful. I am not sure I could pick a favorite.
We are long over due for a family portrait. And the older I get I realize that the "I am going to do it" just doesn't cut it any more. We HAVE to do this and do it soon.
Your baby shoe pincushions are precious.
Hugs, Sue
Oh the baby shoes are lovely and look so pretty as how you have done them up. My brother and I had shoes like that when we were babies in the 50's so not too vintage hehehehe. Oh ok....they say anything over 40 years old is classed as vintage! I should find my shoes and try to make them pretty too, I have them packed away somewhere. You have a beautiful blog and I love looking at all you find and do :)
