~BRAVING de HEAT~
The temperature setting is STUCK ON BROIL here in Oklahoma and so far this year we've had 22 days of insufferable heat. The uber-high-temps have successfully contributed to the killing of both our lawn and some of our shrubs... My La Chaumière is quite a sight...
(I'm thinkin' a little bit of cheese would be quite tasty with my WHINE....)
OK...so this is the plan for today...
I'm off to estate sale and tag sale shop with my friend, Becca! Then we will be stopping in at my FAVOR-RIGHT Antique Market in Oklahoma City! I'm feeling some good JUNQUE comin' my way...
Despite the heat I just LOVE MY LIFE! Nothing like SUMMERTIME SLUMMING with a 2die4 friend!!! :) I'm searching for a twin bed for a guest room and I'm hoping against hope I can find something WONDERFUL on the cheap! No other way to shop!
(I'll be sure to brag showoff share with you my great finds!)

We've also been having the extreme heat...so not what we in Michigan are used to...but you will NEVER ever hear me complain about heat...I'd rather be hot over cold any ole day!

Is'nt the exreme HEAT the pits. Miss "A" & I left The Woodlands over a week ago, only to be followed by mid 90 deg. temps. Strange...and we are only 1 hour from the Canadian Border.

Oh Rebecca, I know what you mean about this heat, it's the same way here in Texas. I'm so ready for cooler weather! Sounds like you have a really fun day planned thought, I wouldn't mind getting out in this heat to go to estate sales and antique shops! Hope you find lot's of treasures and the perfect bed.

Days spent shopping with a dear friend are definitely to die for!! On my recent trip, I had a couple antique-ing days with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law, both of whom I count among my dearest friends.
I am one of the few in blogland that is not whining about the heat. I whined about the cold from October through early June, so I vowed that I wouldn't complain when it got hot. I'm totally loving it...and am actually kind of freaking out at how fast summer is flying. Before long, the cold is going to be upon me again. GAG!!!

I hopw you find lots and lots of good things to buy... cheap! The days here in Texas are oh so hot too! We've lost our grass and many of the plants in our flower beds. Would love to see a nice slow rain for a few days!

The heat here is awful!! I haven't been coming out to the air conditioned house, only to water my poor plants and flower pots for fear that they dry up and die.
Joe is having such a hard time, delivering mail in this heat. It is truly amazing though how many people are stopping to give him cold bottles of water. I guess they really pity him!!
