~~~~SWEET PINK TREATS and THOUGHTS~~~~ About Moving Forward
~AGING RECIPES~
Well...my Mr. AGPMan and I have pretty much recovered from having my website hacked into last Tuesday evening.  Thank you so much to all of you who stopped in and added your two cents regarding the nasty invasion into our lives.  For all the wonderful, kind people out in our world I'm also mindful there are those whose purpose is to only hurt and destroy.  What kind of life is that?  It's something I just can't wrap my brain around!
  Want to know what I think?
I think people who do terrible computer related things (or anything else for that matter!) on purpose need to be mindful just WHAT they do online can be monitored.  When you have a computer-guru as a hubster and a computer-genius for a son it's easy track the IP addresses (that's your computer's ID) for business purposes and/or for monitoring otherwise anonymous detractors.  If you have the right programs on your computer it's simple to take a look at just where (state and the town) your website visitors and even blog commenters come from!
Did you know that?
What does that little scripture in Numbers say~ "...your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:33)
Yes...I think that's it!  I've been busted enough times in my life to know!!!
 ~ SWEET MEMORY~
Anyway...onto to better days and more hacking protection.  SMILE!!!!  Don't let the idiots bullies idiots (right the first time) of the world get you down!
ONWARD!
I've been working on a tutorial for a sweet, inexpensive (but fun!) goodie treat for Christmas!  I dug through lots and lots of my old hand-written recipe cards to find just the right one for this little project (at least I was before I was sidelined with the above).  I almost have it ready and hope to share it with you tomorrow.  Working on the packing today (which you know is EVERYTHING to me!).  Here's a little hint for all you PINK LOVERS out there...
~YUMMY PINK HOT CHOCOLATE~
It has to do with making PINK HOT CHOCOLATE (the powdered kind) and how you can mix up several batches for the most romantic looking gift-giving treat for the holidays!  Tastes wonderful, too!
While rummaging through my old recipes my heart skipped a beat when I came across an old clipping of a precious poem taken from what I'm going to assume was a woman's magazine from the early 80's.  The tattered clipping use to hang on my refrigerator during my children's growing up years as a reminder for me to SLOW DOWN and actually enjoy the process of parenting (hard to do sometimes as all us parents know!).  I thought I'd lost it a long, long time ago so when I saw it peeking out from within the recipe cards I was overwhelmed with joy.  I'm very sentimental and reading the words one again penned by Patricia Barley were as fresh today as they were 20 plus years ago...
Here it is (thank you Miss Barley)...
~LOVE NOTES TO MY CHILDREN~
How do I say I love you through
the
scoldings of clean up your room,
pull up your socks (I love you,
don't spill the juice?
How do I say I love you through
the reminders of take your bath,
brush your teeth (I love you),
don't miss the bus?
How do I say I love you through
the
nightly rituals of put down your book,
(um...get off the computer!),
turn out the light (I love you),
go to sleep?
How do I say I love you through
the routine of daily living?
I only hope you can hear between the lines.
~~*~~
Hope you day is blessed.  More tomorrow!
Love to you...
Love that poem. It's so true too. I feel like I'm constantly telling my little boy to do this and that...and I'm always telling him how much I love him too. They grow up so fast.
Sorry to hear about what those 'idiots' did to you. Some people can be so mean.
Have a beautiful day.
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
I'm so glad to see everything is up and running again. How nice to have loved ones who know how to get around in that scary computer-land, what a blessing!
Glad that you can stay above all this. It still amazes me too that there are people in the world whose only pleasure is causing pain for others. Such a sad way to live. Even though there are some 'trying' moments, I'm so blessed to be able to keep our grandgirl every morning. She brings such joy and such innocence into our lives!
Yes, indeed Rebecca, you can track those IP addresses. I have one on my blog, and I can see where they come from. It amazes me, that people will visit over and over, and copy picture after picture, and never leave any comment at all. I also have annoymous, so they can leave something even if they don't have a blog, because I have done it. Thank you sweetie for all of your hard work in making tutorials for us to enjoy! Look forward to the cocoa recipe!
Hugs,
Debbie xo
PINK HOT CHOCOLATE!!??? OMG!!! What a delicious delightful idea! Can't wait to see the pics and maybe the recipe...will you share?
This would make such sweet looking gifts for the hot chocolate lovers for family and friends...!!
I am happy you and Steve have gotten the damage done to your records resolved....and yes, you CAN find out who sends such things if you have computer savvy...and your two guys certainly do...
I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend and will get to relax after this hateful hacking experience.You deserve to!
Big hugs and love to you my sweet friend....Francy
Dear Rebecca, I am so pleased that you are now bright eyed and getting over the hacking incident. This is something that always amazes me, computers are like finger prints and can be tracked from so called anonymous emails to hacking. I can only think that whomever did this will take a moment to ponder and realise that at the very least it is petty and at the very worst crimiinal.
I hope that you have a wonderful upcoming weekend, Maureen
How awful that someone hacked into your computer ~ I do hope that you will be able to find out who or where from! I don't understand how or why someone would do that to you.
I do hope you will share with us ladies your recipe for pink hot chocolate ... I do LOVE hot chocolate!! My favorites are Mint, and Raspberry flavored..Yummy!!
I received your beautiful Stocking ornament in the mail, and just LOVE it....now I REALLY can't wait to put up our Xmas tree!!! I always do it the day after Thanksgiving, and then take it down on New years Day.
Hope you are having a lovely day, and will have a wonderful up-coming weekend!
Warmest hugs to you, Brenda
Of all the things pink I never thought I would hear the day of pink cocoa!! never, not for one second. I'm looking forward to your share & tutorial.
It helps to have guru's doesn't it? I'm never short on thanks for the help I get with my own workings. After an incident a couple years ago I immediately took to tracking devices & analytics programs. They help, A LOT!
Hope you found some restful sleep in the chaos of the day.
Dearest Rebecca,
Lovely poem and indeed, let's move on to a better protected tomorrow. I've been very happy with my Norton Internet Security. I've seen many threats on there and it's a great feeling, knowing they will block such intrusions.
Love to you,
Mariette
Always something beautiful to find here!! Pink hot chocolate is a great idea.
So, so sorry you had such awful troubles with your blog. I just don't understand the why behind something like that.
Glad all is well and that you have a great team on your side.
Lovely poem Rebecca, and so true. We take for granted that throughout the guiding years the children will know we love them.
Are you sure it couldn't have been a glitch to mark your sold items available? I didn't know people could hack into your blog but was aware that some steal your photos and post elsewhere.
