~~~~THOUGHTS ON A SUNDAY MORNING~~~~ Safe and Sound
 ~THANK YOU, GOD!~
Early Saturday evening my daughter Adrienne, SIL Michael, my granddaughter, Miss K (son's daughter), were involved in an automobile accident.  Although our girl's car is probably totaled, somehow the three of them escaped serious injury.  Adrienne's a little banged up but she's going to be fine.  You may remember a year ago our son, Brandon, was in an accident where his SUV was flipped over and he had to crawl out the hatch...  He was also unhurt even though his vehicle was totaled as well.
~TOWING CAR AWAY~
After meeting up with my little family at the accident site I called my Mr. AGPMan and together we decided to go to a local restaurant for dinner.  While I was out shopping he'd been busy working on our kitchen remodel and was ready to take a break. Just after the five of us sat down and ordered our food his cell phone rang.  Incredibly it was our local police department informing us our aging pickup truck had been hit while parked in front of our home.  It was hit head on and knocked so hard that it jumped the curb and landed onto the sidewalk...
Two vehicle accidents in one day...totally unrelated and miles apart.
 ~HUBBY'S 3/4 TON TRUCK~
This morning I'm incredibly grateful my beautiful girl, her hubby and our Miss K were uninjured.  I rejoice over their lives being spared in the T-Bone accident.  Although I'm sad over our pickup being heavily damaged (remodeling needs a truck!), I'm thankful the driver wasn't hurt or killed.  Apparently he had some kind of seizure and blacked out.  If the 3/4 ton truck hadn't been parked where it was he easily could have crashed his car into our home (he was taken to the hospital but we don't know anything about his condition)...
Last night I couldn't escape the thought that none of us know the mind of God, or why He allows what He does.  I only know in my most difficult circumstances, I will miss the peace of his presence unless I continue to trust that He is always faithful and always good.  Cars and trucks can be replaced...it's just stuff.  But, not my family.
"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown...
For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
(Isaiah 43:2-3)
~~*~~
Blessings as you rejoice in His goodness!
Love to you...
OMG Rebecca...what an unusual thing to have two accidents the same evening..totally unrelated! I am so very thankful none of your little family were hurt in the first one, and also thankful no one was in the truck when it was hit, and pray the driver of the other vechile was not seriously injured. You just never know what is "down the road" waiting for you, do you? GOD was certainly on hand for these accidents, sparing all of you. Yes, vechiles can be replaced, but not precious family.
Something to be ever grateful for this Sunday morning.....
I hope you have a good week, sweet friend...take care......
Love you, Francy
My heart jumped to my throat when I read your first line! I'm so thankful that no one was seriously hurt. Poor little Miss K, it must have been so scary for her.
So sorry about your truck! Thank goodness it was parked where it was and prayers for the driver.
God was watching over you all. Amen!
God has your family in the palm of his hand. I know that YOU know what an incredible blessing it is to have escaped serious injury for every one involved in the accident...and I hope the guy that hit your truck is okay, too.
God bless your family, Rebecca. We don't ever know why these things happen, do we? Or what lesson we are supposed to learn...but maybe it is just to be thankful for all we have and make us realize that THINGS aren't important in the long run...but PEOPLE and FAMILY that are alive and well are the true
Earthly desires of our heart. xo Diana
Thank goodness everyone is safe. I was in a serious accident 2 years ago, no one was hurt. In our area we have lots of car accidents and God decided I wasn't ready. I had so many good Samaritan that day coming to rescue me.
Just when we least expect it our dear Lord comes along and puts things into perspective. He continually wants us to draw nearer to him and I truly believe times like this, he asking us for more of our love, faith and devotion.
May God continue deeply blessing your family.
Hugs and much love to you and your family, Sue
What an incredible day your family had! What are the odds of something like this happening? My goodness!! I am so thankful to hear that everyone is fine ~ I know only too well how horrible it is to lose someone in an horrific accident, as that is how I lost my father ~ even after all these years (it's been 22 years), I still can remember the events of that horrible day..what I was doing before...when my mother came running to our home to tell me...riding to the hospital...hearing those words from the doctor, that no one should ever hear...I am so glad that you were spared from all that my friend!
So much to be thankful for today on this Sunday.
Warmest hugs to you, and to your family....Brenda
Becky--
I am so thankful nobody was physically hurt. The emotional trama will take some time to heal.
I recall an accident I had as aa teenager. An elderly lady litterally walked into the side of my moving car. I was so unsettled, I didn't want to ever drive again...
My dear father, with his wise words, told me "You must not let this hold you back. If you do, you will be an 'emotional crippled' for the rest of your life." He was right-- and I did continue to drive. I didn't give up.
GOD in HIS goodness had His protectibe hand and HIS Banner of Love over all of you. HE is/was in the midst of it all.
God's Blessings upon you as you continue to share you strength and faith in God to others.
Love you Forever-- Mom
love your work and blog.
have a nice week and greetings from Ann
Thank God no one was injured. This is a lot of stress for you and your family. Take one day at a time and try to be at peace every step of the way.
Last year I was in a terrible car accident and thank God no one was injured but my car was totaled. Then I had a fender bender and had to get my NEW car repaired. One week after getting my car back, I was driving to work and got hit from behind. What is going on? This last incident nearly put me over the edge but I continue to pray and ask for God's protection.
Dearest Rebecca,
Wow, I read your blogs backward and find out only now about the accidents... God has a way of sometimes 'nudging' us ever so gentle and letting us escape. May he continue to keep all loved ones save! My brother was not that lucky on the 29th... neither was the young horse as it had to be put to sleep on the spot. Sad but thank God he's alive and his head is okay, also the 76 year old man only had a broken leg.
Love to you,
Mariette
