~~~~IS YOUR FOLLOWER GADGET MISSING?~~~~ IF SO...DO THIS
 ~LE LAPIN SACHET~
Sweet for Spring
For the past several days, nearly a week now, my FOLLOWERS GADGET on my sidebar has been MIA!  I figured it's sudden departure must have had something to do with the GOOGLE FRIENDS CONNECT THINGY being changed and so I TRIED to be patient while the POWERS THAT BE fixed whatever was causing the problem.
~FARMHOUSE APRON~
--Can You Spot The Mistake?--
{ARGH!}
Most of the Blogs I visit showed their FOLLOWERS GADGET in place, but there were a few that had big empty spaces where their GADGETS were suppose to be.  Sooo....I emailed one of my friends, Miss Mariette from Mariette's Back to Basics and asked her if she was having trouble too!  She was!  And like me she had spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out what was going on!
Miss M is so lovely and encouraged me to continue to be patient while things were sorted out in blogland.
~HOW ABOUT NOW?~
--Bolangerie?  Nope...Boulangerie!--
{drats!}
Well...PATIENCE is NOT one of my strong points.
(Neither is French Spelling!!!!!)
Seriously.
It's not.
I want things done like, um...yesterday!
(or the day before)
~SWEET IRISH LACE~
Still...I TRIED to be a good, calm girl and not do what I wanted to do which was
FREAK OUT!
And so I waited.
And waited.
And WAITED!
FOR SEVEN DAYS I WAITED!!!
Still NOTHING!
(God created our beautiful world in less time!)
(ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!)
~LOVELY CROCHET LACE~
Along with my FOLLOWERS GADGET missing there were other problems, too!
Like:
1.  My Dashboard said I wasn't following ANY blogs!
2.  The FOLLOW link at the top of my blog wasn't working.
3.  The FOLLOW link on my Blog Page wasn't working.
4.  The Comment button worked only sporadically.
5.  My Google Reader was on the blitz...
AND
6.  My last three posts kept disappearing from my page!
WHAT?
I wanted to SCREAM for my HERO
(aka:  Mr. AGPMan)
to come and save me fix WHATEVER the problem was, but he's studying for finals and I didn't want to disturb him.
(Gee...my compassionate side must have momentarily kicked in while I was pulling my hair out and gnashing my teeth.)
So...after posting my situation on BLOGGER HELP and getting absolutely NO RESPONSE I decided to try something ON MY OWN!  After digging around and trying several things I finally found something that worked and POOF my FOLLOWERS GADGET and all the other problems were INSTANTLY FIXED!
(WHOOT!  WHOOT!  Happy Dance Time!)
~HERE'S WHAT YOU DO~
1. Go to the SETTINGS TAB on your Dashboard
2. Make a teensy tiny change to your blog domain name, enter the security words and hit save.
(my blog domain name is
Rebecca-gatheryeroses.blogspot.com
and all I did was place an extra "a" after Rebecca {Rebeccaa} to keep the change simple!)
3.  Enter your new address in your search bar (your old links won't work yet) and check to see if the faces of all your fabulous, gorgeous, beautiful peeps are back!
(They should be!)
4.  Log out.
5.  Now...go back and LOG ON again.  Go into the SETTINGS TAB a second time on your dashboard and change your blogger domain name BACK to it's original name!
6.  Go check your blog again.  Everything SHOULD be back to normal!
YEAH!!!
Hope your day is yippy-skippy wonderful.
I'm off for a mani-pedi this morning and despite the rainy forecast for Oklahoma
I'm going JUNKING!
And then...
When. I. Get. Home.
I'm going REMOVE that pocket
on my messed-up Apron
and put the corrected one
in it's place!
Love to you...
~FARMHOUSE CHIC HAMPER LINER~
~VINTAGE CLOTHES HAMPER~
Farmhouse Chic
One of the joys of owning vintage linens comes in making them part of my day to day life.  For more years than I can count I've collected old laces, trims and ribbons, but it wasn't until several years ago when I first started selling my wares on eBay that I realized so many of you out there love them, too!
~VINTAGE SHEETING LINED~
Crochet Lace Trimmed
At first it was a little difficult cutting into lace-edged pieces of old linen and cotton.  But...the thought of so much gorgeous handwork being relegated to an old dresser drawer or stored away in a plastic bag made me sad.  And so I decided a long time ago to at least try and give them new life.  With that I began fashioning bits and pieces of old lace into romantic keepsakes for the home.
Vintage Sheet Edging
Last June my big sister Linda was visiting from Tennessee.  We had a wonderful time shopping and while out and about that day we snagged some great old finds.  If you'd like you can read that post HERE.
 ~DOUBLE FLOUNCE~
One of my favorite finds of the day was this vintage clothes hamper frame.  It was $1 and I was over-de-moon happy to bring it home.  I had great plans to immediately transform it, but like always I got busy with other things...  And so it sat and sat and sat for a long, long time~
 ~SWEET FABRIC TIES~
With our kitchen remodel on the horizon a new laundry room is also in the works.  I kept thinking about that neat old frame hanging in my storage shed out back and so a couple weeks ago I had my Mr. AGPMan clean it back up for me.  I'd actually painted it sometime back...
 ~PHOTO FROM LAST YEAR~
The frame was originally black but overall it was in wonderful vintage condition!
~ALL PAINTED UP~
She was pretty easy to line!  I measured all four sides and added 1/2" seam allowance and used these measurements for a template.  An old thick white sheet was used for the inside and underneath trim, and a large table doily for top trim.  The table-cover was heavily damaged in the center but the old crochet was in great condition.  I top stitched a band around the upper edge and made a casing for elastic.  To secure the lining to the frame I added fabric ties at the base.  The elastic easily keeps the liner in place. What I love most about it is that it can be washed.  I serged all the seems so no fear of unraveling!
Today I'm linking up with
Kathleen of Faded Charm for White Wednesday
and
and
 Lots of fabulous offerings for you to take in when you have time.
You are sure to be VERY inspired!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Love to you...
~ANTIQUE PIE SAFE~
Remember last week when I told you I didn't know WHAT I was going to do with my antique pie safe?  Well...after moving our furniture around a bajillion times I think we finally found a place for it!  I am soo happy we put felt pads under everything!  Made moving the stuff around so much easier!!!
~RIGHT AT HOME~
 Looks like it's new home is going to be in our dining room.  Fitting place, I suppose, for a Pie Safe.  I guess when we decided to open up the wall between my family room and dining room I didn't think about the fact I was losing an entire wall that once held a lot of furniture!
My girl told me anything I didn't have room for she'd be happy to take it off my hands... :)
Yeah...as if!
~OUR WEDDING GOBLETS~
 ~GORGEOUS VINTAGE TABLE COVER~
~BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE CROCHET TABLECLOTH~
Now...I junque everywhere!  Super nice homes and even those that aren't so super nice! :)  But...I must admit that lately it's been slim pickens out there! Lots of estate and tag sales, but other than some bits of old lace and crocheted doilies I haven't found much.  I did find more cigar boxes, but I don't have a clue what to do with these!
Any ideas?
Send me the link to a tutorial!
PLEEZE....
 ~GREAT OLD BOXES~
The crochet tablecloth you see above WAS a great find too...but I got it at antique mall for half off!  I think it was $8.  I know...crazy-good price!
 ~NEAT TRAY~
 ~TWO BASKETS LIKE THIS~
~GREAT CANISTER~
Anyway...when the yard sales don't get my cash I can always count on Hobby Lobby (you know it's based in Oklahoma City, right?) to clean me out!
Sometimes I just hate that store.
 ~METAL BOXES~
 ~SHABBY WOOD BASKET~
All the stuff I snagged at Hobby Lobby was 80% off so I didn't walk away too terribly broke!  All of the items have been base painted and most have already been hand painted with roses...  All will be on my website when I reopen it later this month!
~GREAT METAL HAMPER FRAME~
Now...do you remember last summer when I found this great old Clothes Hamper Frame?  Well...I finished it's MAKEOVER (gee...only took me 9 months...I could have had a baby in that amount of time!)!!! :)  I'll be showing it to you tomorrow for White Wednesday!  This piece was fun to give a face-lift to!
Hope your Tuesday is fabulous!  I'm off to create and to blog-hop around!
Love to you...
