~PAINTED PINKS and BLOGGERS THAT BLESS~

Painting Up A Storm

I've worked with JOY in my painting studio for the past couple days and absolutely LOVE having control over my time again!  I'm beginning to remember what my life was like before I bit off more than I could chew...  I hope you'll find time to check out latest website offerings...several new things for your pleasure...like the the sweet Tussy Mussy you see above!!!

Hmmm....I'm getting started late this morning!  It' must be all that fabulous sleep I'm getting now that my hectic life has called down a bit....

Or...maybe it's just that I didn't want to face my kitchen this morning and the SIMPLE fact that my trusty fridge decided to FAIL ME  on Monday night!  I just hate it when I pay big bucks for things and then they don't work forever...don't you?  My guy said the thing just needs a new timer...  Gee~since a kitchen remodel is on the horizon I was kinda HOPING I'd get to pick out a new state-of-the-art refrigerator a bit early!  I've had my eye on a 2die4 Samsung French Door model (the one my hubbs rolls his own eyes over!) but it was not meant to be.  Given it's cost it will most definitely continue to languish in the "it's never gonna happen" column of my wish-list!

The repair part should be here on Friday successfully dashing my hopes for a replacement!
 Sweet Vintage Millinery Finds

On a much brighter note...last month Miss Jen from J.Nichelle drew my name as one of the winners for her sweet GIVEAWAY.  Now...how fabulous is that?  It's just too, too fun to get FREE STUFF!
  Lovely Old Wallpaper

I've been over-the-top excited to win SEVERAL sweet little contests since I started my blog in January '09 and truthfully I'm always amazed when my name is called!
 Fabulous Pink Flocked Paper

Since I don't believe in 'luck' I just have to believe that winning was meant to be.
Amazing Vintage Glass Buttons

Tucked inside the box from Jen are all the things you see above!  A beautiful sampling of vintage wallpapers (of course you KNOW I love the pink flocked paper!) and a sweet little box chocked full of the best old glass buttons one could ever hope to find!
Vintage Postcards...Yum!

Nestled into the mix were vintage millinery flowers and some lacy old wrapping ribbon and three fabulous vintage postcards!
Pink and Green Toile Plate

And then...right in the middle of the beautifully packaged box was this absolutely stunning pink and green toile plate.  The icing on the cake was the sweet hand-written note from Jen herself!

Thank you so much Jen!  I hope you'll pop over to her beautiful blog and say hello.  She's wonderful and a very gifted artisan!

Now...don't forget about my own giveaway!  You can find it on my upper left sidebar or you can simply click HERE!

Blessings to you for a lovely day!  I'm back working in my studio in hopes of finishing up more painted pretties for the Shoppe.

Love to you~

Hi Rebecca,
I am back to talk a little more.
That was a lovely comment you left me, thank you. I love what you do. I love your blog and if you have the time I would love to be friends, but at this point in time we have only enought money to pay the bills and eat, not a cent to spare!! So I probably will not be a customer at this point in time. Is that OK??
Friendship coming your way, Fern

That plate is gorgeous!!! What a gracious and generous friend you have.

Oh, and I love the vintage postcards. SO sweet!!

On another note, I'm glad to see that you are already experiencing blessings from your decision to let go of something you loved.

(On that same note, I must tell you that back in April, we had an adoption fall through. Although adopting that sweet little girl was something we wanted with everything in us, all kinds of things were happening, and we just knew the Lord was asking us to stop trying so hard and to just surrender her.) As with you letting go of your business, it was horribly hard, but we did it...and the Lord gave peace as only he could give. Truly, when you let go of something you love so much and yet you have peace about it, it can ONLY be the Lord's amazing work within.

Have a wonderful day.

Love,
Patti

Oh drat...fridges that quit need a spankin'

They are wonderful appliances to have and may yours be running again soon.

Blessed you and winning! That's great.

Rebecca, appreciate your prayers. I'm scheduled for surgery to remove thyroid cancer August 5th. That's tomorrow and I'm dreading it.

God bless,

Time is soo precious! I too get soo busy with different projects and then can't concentrate on just one to do it how I really would like, I just get soo excited about them all :) I love all your goodies in your shop. I'm looking for a circle kitchen table if you ever happen to come across one, I saw one at The Rink and loved it! (But it was black)! Many Blessings ~ Margie

Love the tussie! So pretty. I can't remember the metal box?? I know I won the scalloped metal hanging basket which I have in my room. Hmm. Anyhow, bummer that it wasn't vintage. But yay for finding more! Glad you are enjoying your artwork again now that things have settled down for you. TTYsoon Hugs~Heather

Hi Rebecca,
I forgot to congratulate you on your great win!! You got some really neat stuff.
I started my blog in April 09. I had never used a computer in my life until Tom (my hubby) bought a very used computer in late 08. He brought it home Christmas Eve and said it was for me and I could have it the next day. I said I couldn't use a computer. He said Yes I could. I didn't have to worry about it because the next day he got it all set up and it didn't work. He took it to a repair shop in 09 some where around the first week of the new year. They had it almost a month. So at the end of Jan 09 he brought it back home. Well Tom was right. It took me about 30 minutes to start emailing my G-daughter.
I have been hooked ever since!! So much so I haven't done any sewing since I have had the computer!!
Now you tell me something about you OK??
xxo, Fern
