~LINEN JOYEUX NOEL PILLOW~
Last Saturday I shared with you the great five dollar deal I got on a Ralph Lauren decorator pillow, remember? If you missed that post you can read about it here! It was actually the feather insert I wanted and over the weekend I finished working on the Christmas "Joyeux Pillow" for my La Chaumière de Briarwood. Can you believe I'm actually keeping this one for myself? I love the simplicity of the Pillow and can't wait to find the perfect spot to display it! A pretty soft white linen fabric was used, opting to keep the lines clean and embellishment free. No lace, buttons or trims and even the ruffle was a basic (done by hand) reverse tuft and pleat. For good body and form the Pillow was lined with a weighty muslin and an easy-to-open zipper was added to the back. The inside seams were serged so when the cover needs to be cleaned there won't be a problem with unraveling.
~HAND PAINTED COTTAGE SIGNS~
I also got around to working on the two Signs I showed you in that post as well. Both sold fairly quickly but you can still see them if you'd like to by clicking here! I must be on a painting kick because I honestly think I've finished up more painted projects this Christmas Season than I have in the past three previous years. I have a closet in my studio with three shelves inside that have been totally filled up with items base painted in cottage white, pure white and pastel pink. Incredibly I've actually made a noticeable dent in my stock! Whoot! Whoot!
My customers sometimes ask me why I don't paint more...
Well, the easy answer is:
"I'm not sure!"
A more detailed answer is:
"I hope to in the future!"
My most honest answer is:
"Painting doesn't come as easy for me as sewing sometimes does. I love it as much (if not more!), but it's more of a challenge for me. So, I have to be in the mood to paint or I can't get my brush to paint what I see inside my head!"
Later this week I'll be showing you more of our decorated home. A few new things have been added this year and I'm excited about some of the little changes.
Hope your day is awesome! Mondays are generally a bit less hectic for me so I'm looking forward to having somewhat of a slow-motion day...
(Sounds fab to me!)
Blessings and love~

Beautiful pillow Rebecca! And I am loving those gorgeous rosey signs!!! ~ I'll be taking it easy today as well, after staying up late 2 nights in a row watching football, lol :) No energy today :)
Warmest hugs, Brenda
Hi Rebecca... love your pillow all finished, so happy you are keeping it all to yourself!... and those large signs... ooh la la!... simply exquisite... enjoy your Monday... xoxo Julie Marie
Rebecca,
Your pillow and the new signs are so pretty. The "cottage" sign is my favorite. Everything you touch turns out beautiful.
Hope you and your family have a blessed holiday season.
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
I'm glad to hear that you keep something for yourself. Your painting is gorgeous, as always, too. Have a warm week. Wish I could do outside duty from INSIDE this morning--it's only 1 degree. That's almost ZERO!! BRRR.♥♫
Oh how beautiful, both the pillow and the signs! Your talents are endless:) Have a blessed day, HUGS!
Good morning, Miss Rebecca! I love that linen pillow..it's simplicity is what makes it look so pure and Christmasy!! Great job!!
The hand painted signs are quite lovely, too. I am sure you are fixing up your home just gorgeous!!
I am happy you have a "slow" day to-
day so maybe you can step back from all the hard work you have been doing and have some ME time today!
I am beginning to choose things to decorate our motorhome for our journey east for the holidays!! I decided to make it festive so we can
enjoy some Christmasy decor, too. It
has actually been fun to pick out what I want to bring along....a lit tree included!! LOL
I hope you have a somewhat quieter week, with a little time with Mr.AGPMan.......
Love and warm hugs, Francy
Enjoy your "slow-motion" day!! You deserve it! Your pillow is gorgeous.
Dearest Rebecca,
Love your simple and elegant pillow! The two signs are also perfectly done and you're so honest about your painting. I know what you mean by having things in your head. Once I designed a mushroom family that came out just perfect at once but if you HAVE to design more, or other things, it doesn't come that easy.
We had a lovely Sunday with daughter Liz, hence my post yesterday about 3 HEARTS. Meaningful and sometimes life is generous. We never should give up hope and prayers.
Love to you and a tight hug,
Mariette
Love the signs and the pillow, they look beautiful!
Have a lovely day Rebecca.

Here's hoping you have a slow motion day.
The pillows and signs are beautiful!!
Hugs,
Hi Rebecca,
I really like the entrance to your website and how easy it is to navigate around.
I know what you mean about painting. I love to paint too, but I really have to be in the mood. Sometimes I just feel like creating other items for awhile, then I will be inspired and go back and paint again.
I've been debating whether to change the pink in my kitchen to Robins Egg Blue. I figured the winter might be a good time for a change although I'm nervous I'm going to miss my pink walls.
Have a great day sweetness,
Cathy
I love your pillow you finished - gosh you are so talented.

There is just something about a "thing" in rare circumstances can it be beautiful in it's most simple form. This pillow is one of those! Simply charming, beautiful and to the point. She is a pretty one & I do believe, had I made her, I too would keep her for myself. Hugs. tammy
