There are times when I sit in the house of the Lord and forget whose house I am in and why I'm even there. It's easy to get lost in thoughts of the Season with all the sparkling glitter and holiday trappings and forget the Host and whose life it is I'm suppose to be celebrating.
Seems I'm going to church but too often miss the message.
"Joseph...took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son.
And he called His name Jesus."
(Matthew 1:24-25 NKJV)
Blessings and love to you as we remember the
Reason for the Season...

I know what you mean, our minds are racing while we sit (something women rarely do is sit!). Our pastor always puts a "fill in the blank" note sheet in with the bulletin, and since I'm an obsessive "fill in the blank" woman, it keeps me totally focused :)
Hugs,
Mary
Lovely Blessings to you this day.
Rebecca, may you have a delightful Christmas month.
So thankful for the Bible's passages that speak loud to me.
God bless,

It seems to be harder to remember this year with all the turmoil in our world. It always seems like that would be the time to remember why we celebrate but it sure has brought out the worst of the worst this year. Hoping that we all find joy in our hearts and realize the reason why.
Thank you lovely Rebecca.
Well, my mind wandered only once this morning and I caught myself and focused on the message again. I'm as bad as my kids at school. I need to learn to listen with my full brain.♥♫
Rebecca,
I think we all get caught up in the bustle and chaos of the season and often forget the true meaning of the season.
I don't do much shopping in the stores mostly online so I can avoid the crowds.
Hugs,
Donna
Rebecca-That is so true. I have sat in church and my mind was anywhere but there- On what I had to do when I left church...on why was Mrs.Johnson sitting all by herself..where was her sister? etc...etc.
I am trying to CHURCH when I am in church. Thanks for the reminder..xo Diana
Amen to that. sandie
Hmmmm perhaps the message was for you to 're' focus... :) I'm sure many of us get caught up in the hustle & bustle of the holidays. For me, I choose early on this year to take it as it comes. If something burns, let it burn. If a package isn't perfect, let it go. If I can't pay cash... well, it doesn't get bought. I'm just trying to be in the 'season' this year. With Christ. Hugs. Tammy
