~PINK SATURDAY and a Bunch of Pink JUNQUE 4 U~

~I'M SICK~

Happy Pink Saturday Pinkettes!  I'm sorry to be posting my collection of PINK JUNQUE a bit late this time.  My evening fell apart yesterday when my precious little Yorkie, Miss Mollie the Molinator, became very sick!  I was up with her for a very long time last night and didn't get much sleep.  All you 'pet parents' know what I'm talking about!  Our girly-girl is better today but a trip to the VetMan is planned before noon!

I hope you'll pop on over to Miss Beverly's place of HOW SWEET THE SOUND and check out all the other PINKIES who are participating in this week's PINK SATURDAY GET-TOGETHER!  It's always so much fun!  Thanks Beverly for making it possible for us!
~Vintage Pillowcase Pair~

Now...I've shared before with you how much I love old linens...
~Lovely Old Crochet~

I'm especially fond of old pillowcases...if they have crocheted edges...well, I just go crazeeeeee about them!
~Vintage Embroidered Pillowcases~

Love the ones with stamped embroidery, too!
~Gorgeous Handwork~
~One of My FAVORITE Designs~
~Vintage Premium Towel~

The sweet old hand towel you see above was still in the original package when I purchased it at an estate sale about four years ago.  It was a Premium (freebie) and came in a box of washing suds (detergent).
~Vintage Image Klein Pillow~

A couple of weeks ago I shared with you some vintage Cathrine Klein images.  This is a pillow I made using one of the old postcard graphics in that post!
~Sweet Rosewater and Jasmine Soap~

I find this lovely soap at ROSS all the time.  Whenever I do I bring it home.  Shea Butter Soap!  Yum!
~Vintage Metal Shakers~

I finished giving two old shakers a shabby cottage chic makeover this week.  Hope to have these on my website, soon!
~Vintage Ribbon Sign~

I painted this sweet old sign about a year ago and opted to keep this one for myself.  I love the shape of the wood and it looks darling above a bedroom mirror...
~PINK SPONGE-BOB?~

Last but not least I have to share with you a little secret!

Surely you will all think I've LOST MY MIND but I have to tell you that I LOVE to watch Sponge-Bob cartoons!  For years I thought it was the stupidest, silliest thing on TV.  Then one day while scanning through a gazillion channels late at night (couldn't sleep) I actually watched an entire show and couldn't stop laughing!  I laughed soooo hard...not because it was 'good' but because it was sooo DUMB!  Hysterical.  Most of the time it IS WAY OVER THE TOP but even so I just roll my eyes, giggle and go on.

I suppose we can all use mindless stimulation from time to time.

Hope you'll find time to check out a PINK SATURDAY newbie, Rebecca @ A Shabby Pink World.  Love her name (you KNOW I do) and love her PINKS!

Blessings for a wonderful day.

Love to you~

First....sorry about Molly! PLEASE give us an update on your furry daughter! Next, the shakers are yummy! LOVE them.

OK, we are a sick SpongeBob family too! My HUSBAND found them 11 years ago when my oldest was 3. She could care less, but HE watched and I thought he lost his ever loving mind. Years later, daughter #2 came along and she is obsessed with him AND WE have the SAME pink SpongeBob stuffed creature! LOL

Happy PS friend!!! Try not to stress too much about your fur baby!

I love pretty pillowcases too!

Oh, and I hope your little doggie feels better soon!

Hi Miss Rebecca,
Oh I hope precious Miss Molly is better very soon. They are like our children and I know how upsetting it is when they are ill. Hope the Vet trip goes well.

Your pinks are goreous and I love your paintings as always lots of inspiration with your creations. The pillowcases are a favorite of mine too. I have so many my mother and grandma stitched. The crochet edges just still my heart away.
Love them and love to you this day.
Let us know how Molly is!

Hi-I sure hope your "fur human" is okay. I don't have pets anymore but I used to hate it when they were ill...you just feel so helpless.

I love all your PINKS-have never seen a pink SpongeBob though. I am thinking maybe it should be called SpongeBabs or something though?

I love the sign you did-glad you kept it-I would have kept it too!

Hi Rebecca, happy Pink Saturday! First I have to tell you, your music brought tears to my eyes. "As the Deer" is one of my favorite hymns and I have not heard it such a long time, long story for another day.
Second, I hope Miss Mollie is feeling better, such a little cutie patootie!
Now about your Pinks today, that pillow is FAB! I really like the lace at the top and the bow down in the corner, you did a wonderful job on this!
Have a wonderful weekend, hugs and blessings, Nan

I hope your Miss Molly is feeling lots better today. She is just precious. I know how upset I get when one of my babies get sick. My little Rosie is coming up on her first birthday next week and so far so good. She hasn't been sick any. I love your vintage ribbon sign...that is just gorgeous. You really do need to keep that one! Thank you for stopping by with the sweet comments. That really would be wonderful if your hand painted roses were on my headboard! :) If only Oklahoma wasn't so far away. lol Maybe one day you could make little rose decals for your shop...now that would be perfect.

Hugs,

Hi Rebecca! Just read on another blog that your little Molly was feeling better. PTL! Don't you just wish they could all talk to us? lol! Ahhh....maybe when we all get to heaven, huh? That would be so neat! :)

I wanted to let you know that I'm giving you an award! Be sure to check out my blog on Monday morning!

I'm glad your yorkie is doing better-it's difficult when they can't talk(or we don't understand!)From another pet parent!

I can see how that sweet little dog can have you upset. I have a tiny little grand dog that looks just like her, and she stole my heart the first time I saw her. She was a faithful companion to my daughter as she fought breast cancer for seven years. I hope your Mollie is feeling better today.
All of your pink things are beautiful and some remind me of the days when I used to crochet and embroider. Maybe I need to get back to that. :)

Hi Rebecca. I am so sorry to hear that Miss Mollie is sick! My world stops too when one of my doggies suffers! I hope the trip to the vet helped. Great pinks today as always.

Hi Rebecca. I'm so sorry that your darlin'is sick but glad to hear that she is feeling a little better. I too have fur babies and know just how much you care. Miss Mollie is just beautiful. I love her surround and wearing pink.

Now Miss Sweet Rebecca back to the reason I came by. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to share your own MIL story with me. It's such a shame that she couldn't appreciate all she had in you. Possibly, she just felt she couldn't compare to how sweet and caring you were. Who knows for sure why people can be so horrible. It's very hard not to take it personal when you know you've always been as kind as you can to someone like your MIL and they can't find the heart or the decency to be considerate to you. I'm glad you've been able to detach from it.

I wish I could look for another solution but Neil is adamant about keeping his mother at home but I don't think it's going to be possible for much long. It does hurt sometimes that he always puts me last no matter if I can't eat or sleep but it is his mother. He does do most of the care giving and he says it's best if I let him handle it which is true so I know he's exhausted but I'm just so tired of the strain.

Thank you again for the kind words and the time you took to share them. With love and warm hugs...Tracy :)

P.S. Love all your pink. That pillow is gorgeous just as all your creations are.

Rebecca...I hope your darling little Molly is going to be all right. I KNOW all about having a sick doggie that your dearly love..
my Jolie is a Markie and she was not well a couple of weeks ago and I had a doctor's appointment, which I cancelled because I was afraid to leave her alone. I made the new appointment this past Thursday and the doctor mentioned noticing I had cancelled the week before and I told him about Jolie being sick. He just grinned and asked me if she was better!! These little dogs are just like family, aren't they?
Loved the photos of the linens and such...I will have to watch "Sponge Bob"...I know my little g-grand-daughter loves him!
Gotta see what it's all about!!
Have a super next week xxx Francy

Beautiful post as usual. The pillow is exquisite.

Rebecca, I hate to show my ignorance but could you explain a little more about the Catherine Klein images--are they public domain, do you have to pay to use them, etc. etc?

Thanks for any help you can give me in this area.

Love,
Dianne
