~MR. DREAMY and OLD PINK ROSES IN THE TRASH~

Early this past Spring one of my long time friends called me to tell me she was coming to town.  After chatting for a few minutes she said she found something in storage she wanted to have hand painted with roses  She went on to say she'd purchased the piece many years before and it no longer fit in with her decor.  She actually had some choice words to say about the piece and went on to lament how much she had grown to absolutely hate it.

After describing the piece to me I told her to bring it over and I'd giver her a price to repaint it.

Well...when she walked in the door carrying the vintage hamper you see above I couldn't contain my laughter...nor could she!  The piece she was WHINING to me about was a something I'd painted for her back in 2003.  I nearly fell on the floor in hysterics when I saw it...  We giggled for over an hour...not kidding!
ARE THOSE SUPPOSE TO BE ROSES????

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

I haven't repainted the old hamper yet, but I'm going to soon!  Those roses look like piles of HAY to me!  ARGH!
Today I met one of my Oklahoma bloggie friends down at my booth space so she could pick up a special order.  Since I FORGOT (WHAT?) my camera I won't tell you who she is...I'll let her share with you if she so desires.

Anyway, she found this amazing fireplace screen and it was a fun piece to repaint....
Today I'm thinking CHANGE IS GOOD!

My Mr. AGPMan is taking me to see Mr. Barry Manilow tonight and I'm more than excited.
My friend Denise from
is a huge fan of Mr. Dreamy and has seen him in concert a gajillion times.  I told her I was going to stand up in the concert and scream out:

MY FRIEND DENISE IS IN LOVE WITH YOU
MR. MANILOW!!!
 (I may do it, too!)

This is my first time to hear him in person even though I've loved his music for years.  No yellow ribbons in my hair...but maybe PINK!

Love to you...

Her blog is beautiful-couldn't spend very long over there though!

That story was hilarious:D But as to your roses looking like hay piles? I take exception to that:P

Hope you guys have an amazing "date night"!
You made me remember something that I haven't thought about in DECADES lolol

-A date that hubby and I went on once..it TOO was a concert.

This is a blast from the past...think The 80's.
Lolol...hubby and I went to see a Chuck Mangione concert back in the day. And if you don't
Remember who he is, maybe you will remember this: think 1980's soap opera...the summer of Luke and Laura lolol.

Chuck Mangiones hit song was the one that played every time either one of them thought about the other one lolol.

Lol we have also seen Yanni live.
Clearly we had mild tastes in music lol

And...yeah....we loved Barry Manilow too. Never got to see him live though.

I hope Barry is in good voice tonight for you guys...cause HE WRITES THE SONGS lolol

Blessings to you and yours.
In Him,
Grace

Dearest Rebecca,

WHY are you being so mean towards yourself about those 'vintage' roses of nine years ago? Sure, you've changed to a style with a more closed up bud but there are so many varieties of roses.
The fireplace screen is lovely.
Enjoy your Sunday.
Love,
Mariette

Your roses have come a long way, baby! You must share a pic of it when you repaint it. You know, those roses are BAD-they are just different than what you do today.

Barry Manilow was always a favorite of my own. It takes me back to Florida and living on the beach- xo Diana

I was in a thrift store yesterday here in Omaha (we have lots of them here - I am very lucky). I thought of you because I saw items that I knew you would love and you could re-create. If you are ever in Omaha, you have a place to stay.

Rebecca,
Your recent posts have been so wonderful and I have loved the photos of your booth. I hope you are having great success.

Thank you for words of encouragement and your prayers for my brother. I love him so and am so grateful for his recovery and his continued improvement. Please continue to keep all of us in your prayers.

I am soooo envious of your getting to see Mr. Barry in person. I know you will enjoy it and what a wonderful memory for you and Mr. AGP.

Best wishes my friend for your continued success. You bless me always.

In Grace,
Marie

Love me some Barry! I think the first roses are perfect. A reflection of who you we are and who we have become! The process is painful to see, however beautiful!
