~~~~~THOUGHTS ON A SUNDAY MORNING~~~~~ Changes
 Is it normal
to have three or four different sizes
of clothing in my closet
at the same time?
I've yet to purge my closet of all the larger sized clothes I wore before losing weight this year on Weight Watchers.  All my fall and winter clothes are four sizes too big! So...crowding my life
(and clothing racks)
are the following:
1.  Skinny clothes I wore a long, long, LONG time ago
(but secretly hope to get back into someday).
2.  Bigger clothes I'm scared to get rid of
(just in case I fall off the WW Wagon).
3.  New clothes that fit
(but made for spring and summer).
~~*~~
Today I'm sooo thankful I have a God that is the same yesterday, today and forever in my ever changing, sometimes seriously complicated life.
~~*~~
"Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father...He never changes."
James 1:17 NLT
Blessings and love to you this Sunday...
Isn't it a fun dilemma, Rebecca?! I am so proud of you! Your reward and mine are probably the same- the stares of our husbands! :)
I think it's so fun to fit back into pants you've been saving and THEN to try and fit back into some others and they are too big! Wow!
I've already given away a couple pairs of pants because I don't want them there waiting for me to fall off the wagon! Ha! And yesterday, I put on a sweater from last winter that had made me look like a lummpy mass and this year I look curvy and cute! Yay! My 50th birthday is in a couple weeks and I can't wait to see how much I've lost by then. As of now it's 23 pounds!
I need to read up on firming and toning now. Are you doing any of that? That's what I'll focus on over the Winter instead of focusing on holiday goodies!
Enjoy your Sunday! ♥
Good Morning Rebecca.
I have the same in my closet. It is said that we are better off to get rid of the larger sizes so we won't be tempted to put back on those extra pounds! LOL!
However, I agree with your words of enlightment.
I painted a Yorkie recently, its listed on my ebay. I also posted a yummy dog recipe this morning too!
Happy Sunday!
Good morning Rebecca..this is a good problem to have! I streamlined my closet when we moved this Summer and only kept the size the fits me now.. I feel so much better and now have to stay at this size as I don't want to have to purchase a whole new wardrobe again. I am just adding to the size I plan on staying at. Congrats again on your weight loss.. Life is good! Have a wonderful Sunday filled with Love & Laughter!
Hugs,
Wanda
I think it is completely normal. I still have my dresses I wore in Hawaii...and if I went back there I would get different ones....but when I look at them, I remember the joy of being in Hawaii!!
My closets are like that.. I lost so much weight this summer after having a surgery that made me loose my appite and I couldn't eat much.. I'm wondering if I need to hang on to the old. I've had to buy a few new things.
Have a good day
I sooooooooo wish I had lost the weight instead of gaining it... I keep telling myself I am going to do something about this...So far not much... What made the decision for you? And how did you do it?
I too have various sizes and vintages of favorite clothing that I have saved in special places in my closets. The wonderful feeling that comes over me when I fit once again, into the smaller sizes, PLUS realize that the styles are classic and always look terrific, make me feel beautiful all over again!
Your scripture lesson for today, is so true for our precious Savior. I am so thankful that no matter what the changes are in our own individual lives, Jesus is always the same today, tomorrow and always.
Blessings for you too, Rebecca!
Firstly congratulations on loosing 4 clothes sizes of weight, that is wonderful!! Come live with me Rebecca, I have the tiniest cupboard and can only have so many clothes hanging in at one time..... so I can only have what currently fits! Well that is not strictly true either, I have lost 14 lb's in the last 7 weeks and the long pants hanging in my cupboard do not fit :), but the tiny space would help you with your dilemma
Dearest Rebecca,
Clothes hangers are something in our lives... Fortunately mine have been holding the same size ever since I was 15. Might be rare but that's my genetics I guess. Looking forward to my check up tomorrow and I will BEG my doctor again to take me off Prednisone. I'm tired of it after one year and 8 months. It is a drug to keep you going and not feeling sleepy at 1 or 2:00 AM is not the greatest thing!!! Long to the old days where I could fall in bed earlier and SLEEP deeply and sound. Also my full face is something that is not 'me'. While in Europe I got remarks about it as it looked very nice but it is tied to the Prednisone too.
So all that I want to get off the 'hanger'...
Have a great week and thanks for your visit and comment!
Love to you,
Mariette
Would you believe I have different sizes stashed in different bedroom closets? Is that sad, or what? I have them down 2 sizes and up 2 sizes...it is just S.A.D.! Glad I am not alone! xo Diana
In answer to the first question yes! The Skinny clothes...I have kept one pair of jeans, I figure they will probably fit again if I get terminally ill LOL to the joke, not the terminal ill part! I say do a little weeding!
I can sure identify with the clothing size thing. I need to clean out my closet but have a hard time deciding to get rid of anything.
I'm sorry you're having health problems. Hurry and get better. I've never been to the Oklahoma State Fair even though I was born in that state and went to high school there. The rest of my years (childhood - before high school and after high school) - were spent in other states. Also spent time visiting relatives there through the years.
Prayers and Blessings for you,
Charlotte
I have to admit I have a few sizes myself!
Get rid of the big ones! You won't go back.
So sorry that you are feeling alittle under the weather. I have a feeling you don't well with bed-rest. You are such a workaholic and the body said enough already!!
We will all be excited to see you back, re-energized.
