~JUST SO YOU KNOW...Our Oklahoma Weather is the PITS~

~GO AWAY SNOW~

Dear Peeps...
As you've probably seen on the news the State of Oklahoma is truly in terrible shape.  We are snowed in here at my La Chaumière de Briarwood and we aren't even going to attempt to go anywhere for at least a couple of days...maybe more!

My internet connections keep going and up and down so until some of the snow melts and warmer temps thaw the ice off I will only be posting sporadically for the remainder of the week.  As soon as I can I'll share with you the fun things I had originally planned!!!

Hope the weather is better where you live!  It's on days like this I'm sooo thankful I'm self-employed!

Blessings to you and love...

So sorry to hear you're snowed in. Unlike here, I won't venture out as it's way too hot! We're having a bit of a heat wave this week. Not sure if I commented on your last post but your hubby is such a dear and those glasses are to die for!!!!!! Lucky girl! take care, Maryann

We are "iced" in here in the Ft. Worth area! I hate to complain though as I saw the pics of Okl. on our news and you are really getting hit hard! We are suppose to be headed to Canton tomorrow, but due to our severe weather and road conditions, hope to head out on Thur.! Stay warm, and Think Spring! Cathy aka GGJ

Hello Rebecca
I think allot of places are having difficult winters this year. We have more snow than ever and -40 degrees celsius here today but warming to -4 tomorrow. Crazy! Our poor old 1924 home is creaking like mad in the temp changes. I am staying home tomorrow as we are replacing our wood burning fireplace with a gas one so it will be more energy efficient. Keep warm..
Hugs
Wanda

Rebecca, my dad lives in Oklahoma. You guys are having such bad weather. It is hard to be confined, isn't it? I hope you are able to make the best of it and enjoy being there at home and not out in the weather! Blessings!

Looking at snow and ice here, too. For some reason, it is not as much fun as when I was younger and it meant no school!
Stay safe and warm.

Hi Rebecca... what is with this winter weather everywhere??? You are snowed in, tonight we are under a high wind warning with our east canyon winds blowing as high as 100 mph gusts... part of our attic door in our garage blew down on my car... even though the garage door was shut, that was with the wind blowing in through even with weatherstripping!... Make it all go away!... Stay warm and safe... our power is off and on too... I am thinking of you!... xoxo Julie Marie

Our Kansas Gov. has declared a state of emergency because of the ice and snow!
We're snowed in and I hope we can do the same on Wednesday.

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning....ha.
Seems to speed up Spring coming.

I feel for you. It was pretty rough here in north Texas today. So many accidents on the roads and interstates. Take care and stay warm. My husband works out of our house also so it didn't affect his work.I really enjoy reading your blog!

Rebecca, I am sorry your snowed in, but I am also a bit jealous! I miss snow! After I moved from Ky and Buffalo New York to South Carolina, the snows we have are minimal and do not last long. So don't hate me, because I miss snow. Hugs

Hi Rebecca, Know what that feels like, I was utterly fed up with snow by the time we got rid of it, now we are starting to see some spring shoots coming through. Stay Warm

Ah Rebecca. Please be careful and stay warm. The snow is so pretty to look at ~ so dangerous to be in. Good luck and as my Grandmother Thompson used to say ~ 'this too shall pass. We wouldn't appreciate the good weather without some of the bad to remember'. Blessings to you.

I am buried in the snow, but i enjoy the Homemaking and creating a wonderful home life while here.a very precious thing. We are so used to jumping in the car and taking off. Soak it in, the peace and quiet, the craziness of life will begin again soon.

Thought of you this morning when I woke up and could not feel my toes. lol
I feel for everyone involved in this weather ...it was 17 this morning and in this ole house I truly believe it was the same temp. hahaha
They keep turning our electricity off for what their calling Blackout in Texas. About when I get the house to almost bearable they turn it off. Crazy just crazy...I would think it would not be good for the central air and heating unit.
Anyway I feel for you honey.
I updated my Temptations page see if you like it better and I am sending out invitations to all that I have listed if they want to be a contributor on the site then that will give them a chance to put their pieces in a post.
If you have any suggestions let me know
Love
Maggie
