~ROMANTIC SHABBY COTTAGE CHIC PRETTIES~ What's Coming Up Next

 ~HAND PAINTED PRETTIES~
From A Gathering Place

I've spent the last several weeks working on SIX different customized Gathering Cases TM (refurbished vintage Train Cases) and I'm happy to say I'm completely caught up!  What an awesome feeling!  Once the last two are delivered (both are going to Italy!) I promise to show you pictures of the final product!
~OLD SPICE JARS and VTG WOODEN BASKET~

Now...since I'm completely SNOWED IN here in Oklahoma (and this Cali Native still thinks it's the pits) I've done tons and tons of base painting on new shabby cottage chic pretties!  I snapped a handful of sweet pictures a few days ago and all but one of the items you see above are ready to be photographed and then uploaded to my website.  I hope by tomorrow afternoon to have everything listed for sale!
 ~VINTAGE METAL LUNCH BOX~

Some of my favorite things will be offered up including this charming old metal lunch box!  My daddy use to carry one just like this!
 ~VINTAGE SEWING DRAWER~

This darling old sewing drawer is a keeper!  It's perfect for holding rolled up hand-towels or washcloths in a romantic bath or can even be used as a serving dish for bread or crackers!  Possibilities are endless!
 ~SEWING DRAWER...SEW CHIC~

Here's another shot of the vintage sewing drawer!

~LOTS OF SWEET FINDS~

I know it's hard to tell in this photo, but there is also a vintage writing desk, a darling metal box that is similar to an old train case (this little sweetie is fabuloso and sooo cottage chic!) and also two sets of faux stacked books!  Can't wait for you to see them all transformed!

I'm thinkin' I need to get snowed in more often!  Keeps me from runnin' around junkin' and slummin'! :)

Hope you are having an awesome day!  I'm toasty warm here in my La Chaumière de Briarwood, but make NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT...I'M LONGING FOR SPRING!

Love to you...

I wish I lived close to you so you could teach me to paint roses! I've always had a hard time with flowers. You have some gorgeous pieces here. Snow days are good for something. We can always find good in the bad.

Dearest Rebecca,

Gee, I missed the train again! On December 6 I read Mari's blog about her anniversary gift from her husband; a train case from Rebecca. I found you then and even went back to post a short link to your blog on Mari's comments.
You wrote me that the link to the Train Case isn't on right now but it will be back on in a few days.
That was on my Chocolate and Silver Alphabet Letters for Saint Nicholas.
BUT... again I am without MY train case. What do you say?
Why send them to Italy if Georgia is a lot closer; joke...

Please let me know it you will once more manage to rob another train going to the West and get me one too!

Lots of love,

Mariette

Just me with my "two cents worth" of news! It is supposed to sleet and then snow here in central
Louisiana in the next couple of days!! Imagine that! What do you do for HEAT when the electricity goes out and your heating is electrical?? We have a wood-burning fireplace in the family room but the heat goes straight up and outside because of the 20' ceiling!
I am sure you all are better prepared for just such things! We are going to ready the motorhome in case we need to move into it for
a day or so...it will be cozy warm in there AND we can cook!!
Keep warm..Love, Fran

WOW..there are so many ~BEAUTIFUL~ pink pretties about to be transformed and LISTED in your sweet shoppe :) I just hope I am home today when you "hit" your list button, as things sell so fast.
We expect snow, sleet & cold temps in our "neck of the woods". I can't complain though after seeing how hard Oklahoma got hit.

Take care sweet friend & keep on painting your 2die4 roses.
