~~~~~~~~~~VINTAGE BUTTONS~~~~~~~~~~~ and What's Keeping Me Busy
~LOVELY VINTAGE BUTTONS~
Happily Made in AMERICA
I've been working in my studio the past few days and I'm having a wonderful time getting ready for the 3rd "WHERE BLOGGERS CREATE" party that begins on July 15th!  I haven't made a ton of changes, but there are several that have been fun to meander through!!!  The walls are repainted and the window treatments have changed.  I've removed LOTS of the cabinets that held fabric and have drastically pared down my stash of I thought I couldn't live without this stuff.  Feels good to breathe again and to actually have ROOM to move around.  My studio is tiny so I really have to work SMART in order to get things done!  Otherwise I'm in big trouble!  The room does get torn up at times...but I'm one of those girls who just can't function when stepping over (and on) junk!
~GORGEOUS SHELL PRETTIES~
I have collected vintage buttons for at least 25 years.  If I can find them on their original cards then I'm truly ovah-de-moon excited!  For all our technology in the world today I find it nothing short of amazing that the majority of things that are manufactured today (um...can you say CHINA????) can't hold a candle to the things produced 50 years ago.  Maybe we need to go back to making things in America, huh?
Anyway...I'm face deep in sprucing things up for the WBC PARTY #3 reveal!  Hope you are having a GREAT DAY!
Love to you...
Can't wait!! I don't have a room to create, but I live vicariously through the rooms I see on the blogs! Mine would be Black and White, checks, stripes, and toile. With some touches of hmmm, PINK!
Thanks for stopping by even though we are messy from the roof-job!! LOL!!
I now have a small place to store my bins of yarn & crochet thread. I even bought a small baby dresser at a yardsale to hold my embroidery pieces that are yet to be done!! Yep, there are that many!!
DD moved out after 40 years of living with us so now I have a lot of room!!
The packaging on these buttons is so darn cute!! How fun to be able to still find them!
I'm looking forward to seeing your studio...I think I missed it last year. I'm sure it's very pretty!
I can't wait for the reveal. I linked up my studio last year, but then I was embarrassed when I saw everyone's. Mine looks more like a store with slat walls and baskets. I works great, but it does not have that dreamy shabby look. Now, be sure to tell your kids not to sell those buttons for 10 cents at your estate sale!! Yep. I ordered 2 rolls of Snug Hug and got an email today that they are on there way! Thank You!
I love vintage buttons, too - and your's are sooooo pretty. I love anything vintage for sewing!!! I have all my grandma's old buttons. My craftroom is my favorite place to be - especially since summer vacation is here! (I'm a teacher). I've been crafting like crazy!
You just reminded me that I need to pull the sewing treasures that were left in my hubby's grammy's vintage pump singer machine that I have...don't have as many as you but I too am so sentimental about old goodies like yours!
