~JUST TO LET YOU KNOW...Maybe You Can Help~

~RAIN-RAIN GO AWAY~

Dear Peeps...

I hate to keep reverting back to our WEATHER here in middle America (I'd much rather write about things I love like Shabby Cottage Chic Decor, Pink Rose Painting, Fluffy Pillows, Yummy Sachets and Vintage Finds), but it's been sooo stormy of late I just can't seem to focus on much else.

You may know that Oklahoma was hit again last night and somehow (Thank You, God!) my La Chaumiere de Briarwood and ALL of the homes of my extended family members escaped damage once again.  Not everyone (or every house) in our beautiful state has been so fortunate.

Tammy Rider, young mother of three small children, made her home in Little Axe, Oklahoma.  She was killed on May 10th when a tornado hit her tiny town, demolishing her mobile home. Her children have been severally injured and are at present hospitalized.  The oldest, age 9, has head trauma and if I understand correctly the two youngest (ages 1 and 3) have broken bones.  Tammy's husband was at work when the tornado tore through the rural acreage her family has called home for many years.  Her private service is slated for Friday.

This young father is facing more than his fair share of sorrow.  If you feel led to help, memorial donations can be made at any Chase Bank or The Bank of Chickasha Oklahoma, In Memory of Tammy Rider and her Family.

Blessings to you as you continue to weather the storms in your life.

Love to you~

So glad to hear that you are all right, I've been watching the weather channel. We've missed most of the mess as it has been north of us.
Sending prayers for this young father and husband.
"stay covered",
love,
Debra

Rebecca,
Thank you for letting us know how we can help, I hadn't heard where to make donations. We had a rough night again last night, thought it would never end, but only had high winds, lightning and a lot of rain. The one at Clinton was headed to Enid but fizzled out just before getting here, thank God. Lets pray there is no more damage and lives lost due to our weather.
Love to you,
Ginger

My heart aches for this family. I will certainly uphold them in my prayers and also for you and your family members with all the storms. Psalm 121 comes to mind for you as a promise and comfort to hold onto. Much love, Janine

Donations enroute, Rebecca. God bless the family, praying for them all & that her soul rest in peace.

I hope everyone remembers the Tennessee flood victims also, that I wrote of last week.

Thank God you are all okay. I hate to keep bothering you to check on you, but I truly do worry about everyone I know out there.

Please stay safe.

Rebecca, there is so much sadness in these storms. I feel for those who have lost loved ones and for the injured.

We should all join in prayer for the safety of Oklahoma and other areas experiencing severe weather.

Much love,

Andrea

Oh Rebecca I have been hearing and praying for all the folks out there. I knew it was bad. Be safe. We have been threatened but nothing yet. I almost wish it would come on and happen. I hate the watches and warning. Hang on.

Hi Rebecca,
Our hearts have been so concern for our Oklahoma friends as we watch the daily reports, and see how many storms went through your area. Our prayers go out to the dear family who lost wife and mother. Thank you for sharing the info for help!!

We have been dodging bad storms all week, but this morning is dark and gloomy. Storms are coming.

Stay safe my friend and have a good day and weekend.
Love to you, Celestina Marie

I am so sorry to hear about the devastation and loss of life. That poor young Family will need all of the help we can provide. Rebecca I would like to send a Money Order if you could provide me your address and do me the favor of taking it to the Bank.
We don't now how lucky we are where I live in Canada..there are very rarely these kind of storms. Take care & Blessing to you and all of the Family's dealing with mother nature.

Hugs..

This is so sad, Rebecca. That's the second young mother I've heard about recently who was killed by a tornado! Another young mother in Mississippi heard a tornado coming, and she covered her kids with a mattress and lay on top of it to anchor it down. Someone found her dead later, but the kids were fine. This has just been the strangest thing ever, and I pray that everyone remains safe.

XO,

Sheila
