~SHABBY COTTAGE CHIC TREASURES - The PINK ROSE Kind~

~DARLING CUP & SAUCER~
(Austria)

 ~SO SWEET~
(Love Her Hand Painted Roses)

Today is Friday and I'm more excited than I can say for the weekend to be here.  I have back-to-back days of estate sale shopping planned (STORMS STAY AWAY!) and by now you should know how happy this makes this pink rose lovin', mind ever changin', vintage lace buyin', high-maintenance gal! :)  I even began early yesterday by doing a little bit of junkin' in the rain!  Despite the still somewhat GLOOOOOMY skies overhead I had fun!

During my scavenger hunt I unearthed a few sweet treasures!  The Demitasse Cup & Saucer above was found at a shabby old Antique Mall in Bethany, Oklahoma.  I don't ALWAYS find neat stuff there...but sometimes! :)
I also found this one...
~NEWER CUP & SAUCER~
(But certainly charming!)

I'm on an endless quest to find Theo Haviland China at a GOOD, FAIR price!  I'm hardly ever successful tho... :(  Booo Hooo!  But sometimes I do find plates like the one below that just call out my name.  Theo or not, this darling pink rose plate came home with me!
~BRIDAL ROSE PLATE~
(Austria)

Now, ever since my pinky rose friend, Sweet Tea, sent me the top to her Liqueur Decanter to paint,  I decided I had to have one, too!  I mean...she can't have something I don't have, right? :) :) :)   One of the Antique Malls I stopped in at had several and they were all priced over $125 each.  (No...they did not have silver or silver plate lids!)  Boy...they were pricey!  But...the NEXT Antique Mall I visited (this one in Oklahoma City on 10th Street) had the one you see below for a mere $18.  Now I have two!!!   (I win, Tea)!
~VINTAGE DECANTER~
(Can You Say YUMMO?)

Now...you all should know by now that it is impossible for me to return to my La Chaumiere de Briarwood without at least ONE THING to paint!  I truly never know what I will find in that category because over the years I've grown pickier over the things I'm willing to makeover.

I spied this aging Pie Carrier (Picnic Basket) hiding in a dusty corner and BECAUSE it still had the riser on the inside I decided to give it a new home as well.  This little beauty is a project for this coming week.  She will no doubt be PINK and graced with hand painted roses!
~WORTH THE MAKEOVER~
(Aging Pie Carrier/Picnic Basket)

Now...the last little pretty I found on my jaunt was sorta weird looking to me at first.  I'm not even sure WHAT it was meant to be used for.  :(  But, who cares....it was a neat wooden piece that would look smashing made over for the romantic cottage home!  In my cart it jumped!
~OLD TOLE PAINTED THINGY~
(For SPICES?)

Here's the inside...
~ANOTHER SWEET FIND~
(Whatever it is!)

Now...tomorrow is PINK SATURDAY and I will be joining in the fun for another day of PINKALICIOUS EXTRAVAGANCE!!!  In the meantime I'm back in my studio working on new pretties for my website!

Now...before I go...

Thank you ALL for the well wishes you sent to us all here in Oklahoma and for your generous, caring hearts.  The weather in my beautiful State continues to be a bit dark and dreary.  When storm clouds arise they certainly bring moments of clarity and I find it becomes easier to focus on all the things I'm thankful for.  Despite the raging winds, we know God walks beside us a all the way.

Have a wonderful, peaceful, blessed day~

Love to you...

Hi Rebecca :) Those cups and saucers are so lovely, and you always seem to find such wonderful treasures! I can't wait to see the makeovers you will do with them, as I know they will be just beautiful!

I'm participating in Pink Saturday for the first time. I've decided to take some pictures in my Dining room as I have way too much pink things in my home to choose from, and this way everyone can see a lot of my pink :)

Have a fabulous weekend! Warmest always, Brenda

Hi Rebecca,
I like all of your special "finds".
I think the pie basket will be beautiful painted pink with hand painted flowers!

You are blessed with creativity and talent...and such an eye for beauty.

And...you are certainly beautiful inside and out.

The weather in Kansas has been stormy too. But better days are ahead of us huh? (smile)

What a pretty and dainty cup and saucer. We had some serious weather today! It was scary at times. Many tornadoes were spotted but none touched. So scary! I hope you have a good weekend.
