~TRAIN UP A CHILD~

How can it be that today my oldest child turns thirty?
I should still be thirty...
(At least no more than thirty-five...)
The years have sped by
And in it's wake a lifetime of memories
Have been formed.
Every once in a while in my son's
~running-everywhere-childhood~
I'd see him slow down and get quiet...
And I'd catch a glimpse
Of the man I knew
One day he'd become...
When the time came for him to spread his wings
I was totally unprepared for his flight.
It came too fast...
Too soon.
Fly away he did...
I've heard it said that if you love someone
You must let them go.
If they return to you
They will be yours forever...
If not they never were.
Today I'm grateful for the courage it took to let go.
For in doing so the tiny baby
That turned into a little boy,
Who evolved into a man
Returned to me...

 Amazing human being!
Loving husband to Sarah...
Incredible daddy to Miss K...
Trusting brother of Adrienne
Beautiful son of Steven and Rebecca...

"Happy Birthday, Brandon Kent.  You bless me.  You bless our family.
Love you most~~xo Mom"

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
(Proverbs 22:6 KJV)

Blessings as you celebrate LIFE with those you love...

Rebecca,
May your dear son have a wonderful birthday! May it be a really happy one! God blessed you the day he was born. Not only was he born, but you became a momma. A new adventure to learn more about life, God and what's really important.

I know that you must be one heck of a great momma and gramma.

Sending my love and best wishes to you,
d

Pass on my birthday blessings to your incredible son. Is it my imagination or does he look a lot like your Dad?

Hello Rebecca,
What a sweet tribute to your son and Happy Birthday Brandon!!!
Just the other day I spent the evening with one of my sons and I just didn't want that evening to end. I so enjoyed catching up with what he was doing since I had not seen him since Christmas. We had the evening to ourselves since his girlfriend was working. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to enjoy them when they were younger, I certainly would have given more hugs and kisses.
I always enjoy coming over to visit
(((((HUGS)))))

Happy Birthday to Brandon, he is very handsome. I've been reading your blog each day, but haven't been very good about commenting. Sorry, your remodeling is just wonderful. And please don't quit painting your roses, they are so beautiful. I want you to paint some on my fireplace screen. Whenever you get caught up and have time!!!
Hugs

Weren't we just 30? I am sure of it! Oh maybe not, because my youngest turned 30 last year. I could have sworn I was that age not too long ago. Maybe I just feel like I am still 30 :)

My youngest will be 31 in a couple of weeks, and I still cannot wrap my mind around it. As a matter of fact he and his long time sweetie are engaged and there will be wedding this September 15th!

I must get back to posting :) There is so much to catch up on.

Rebecca, your family is a true gift from our Lord and I see how you treasure that. Congratulations to your handsome son on his birthday!
Hugs and much love, Sue

Hello Rebecca
The children do grow up fast don't they? Our oldest will be 38 this summer and being in the birthing room seems like yesterday.
You have a handsome son; I have had to settle for son-in-laws but they are awesome!

Hi Rebecca, Happy birthday to your son. It is hard to let go, but then you know in your heart it is time to let them fly their wings. It really makes you realize the time has really flown when you have a 12 year old grandson who is taller then you. My boys keep grandma very busy. Being 12,7, and 6. It is great though that we get to enjoy our family and watch their families grow. Have a wonderful weekend. Your Missouri Friend.
