~OFF TO TENNESSEE~

I am walking out the door bound for the gorgeous state of Tennessee.  I'll be helping my sister get her new antique and complements shoppe ready for it's Grand Opening!  It's name is PLANTATION WHITE located in Dickson, TN, and we hope to have it open in a couple of weeks!  I'll be sharing lots more about everything soon!  I'm quite sure they'll be lots of tales and stories to tell!  Pictures, too!

I'm driving and my Miss K is traveling with me...just the two of us...a Nana and her only GRAND-girl!  We are excited to say the least!!!  A little road trip with my favorite little girl EVER!  Your prayers are greatly appreciated!

Blessings as you blaze your way through another simmering summer.

Make it count!

Love to you...

~VINTAGE HOMES of ALABAMA~

BED & BREAKFAST
Florence, Alabama

I truly missed being home over the past ten days or so but it was so good to get away for a little personal time.  Although it was hard to break free from my business and my connection with you via this little bloggie of mine, I realize more than ever that even the things we love can sometimes press in hard on our lives and wear us down.  While away I cleared my head of some lingering fog and was able to quiet down my restless spirit as well.  Spent many, many lovely hours with the keeper of my heart while focusing solely on the three things most important to me in my life.  My love for God, love for family and friends and the gratefulness for a life blessed by the Most High.  My cup is full and overflowing.
 BUILT IN 1915

I'm excited to share with you a little of what I breathed in while driving through and visiting four states east of Oklahoma...

The two photos you see above were taken of the B&B my Mr. AGPMan and I stayed in while visiting Northern Alabama.  He planned a two day visit to this lovely vintage home nestled in the heart of a beautiful aging town a few miles south of the Tennessee border.  We were the only guests at the time and we enjoyed our stay.  We rested well and slept in late!  We dined on great food and even watched a football game from beginning to end without interruption (a treat for my guy).  No phone.  No knocks.  No nothing.  Just peace and quiet.
 INCREDIBLE!
ELEGANT and BEAUTIFUL
(This home is both old and new)
 BREATHTAKING

We walked along the streets of Florence, Alabama, a pretty town named for Florence, Italy.  The stately turn-of-the-century homes were breathtaking and what I wouldn't have given for a chance to peak inside just one!
 PALE LAVENDER
(It's Lovely!)
 TRADITIONAL ELEGANCE

We also drove to the town of Tuscumbia and walked her streets as well.  The homes there were just as lovely as the ones we saw in Florence.  Especially one.  But...I'll be sharing about that one tomorrow.

 HOME TURNED INTO A BUSINESS
LOVE THIS FENCE, TOO!

Before I scoot for the day I'll leave you with a picture taken of me standing outside the gate of the childhood home of Helen Keller.  It was built back in 1820 and seeing it in person fulfilled a lifelong dream I've carried in my heart for nearly 40 years...

Tomorrow I'll be sharing with you pictures of our visit to IVY GREEN and something I found interesting along the way...

Blessings to each of you today.  I missed you more than I can say~

Love to you...

~HOME AGAIN - HOME AGAIN~

Dear People...

Early, early this morning my MahMah and DadDee came back to me.  After being away from home for ten full days they pulled their SUV into the driveway just before the crack of dawn and I'm happy to tell you all is well.  They are home again...safe at last!  MahMah said they both had a wonderful time but I'm thinkin' she was probably really miserable without me.  She didn't say as much...it's just a hunch!

My Mahm is VERY tired and is sleeping soundly in her own bed.  As soon as I finish typing this note to you I will return to her and snuggle back in close to her side.  I missed her sooo much!  I was pretty upset when she left me last week even though my big "human" Seezter, Adrienne, took great care of me while she and my DadDee were gone.  Adrie doesn't give me the treats my MahMah does and her hubby doesn't allow me to sleep on top of the "people bed" at night. :(  That kinda bummed me out (I guess I'm pretty spoiled by my 'rents!).  Soooo...you can imagine how close I came to tinkling excited I became when they both walked in the door and MahMah scooped me up and held me tight.

She missed me very, very much.  She loves me!  Yes!  Yes!  MahMah loves her Yorkie-Girl!

Anyway...I just wanted to tell you that she will be back sometime tomorrow.  Today I'm keeping her ALL to myself and I'm not allowing her to get onto her computer.  I immediately started crying when she opened her office door because I KNOW what that means!  I'm pretty jealous and don't like it when she gets really busy and doesn't give me  LOTS ALL of her attention.

Thank you for thinking of her while she abandoned me was traveling about and for all the sweet notes you sent her way.  She can't wait to chat with you all and tell you all about her trip!

Love, Mollie

~THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP~

THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP
by Helen Steiner Rice

Friendship is a Priceless Gift
that cannot be bought or sold,
But it's value is far greater
than a mountain made of gold~

For gold is cold and lifeless,
it can neither see nor hear,
And in the time of trouble
it is powerless to cheer~

It has no ears to listen,
no heart to understand,
It cannot bring you comfort
or reach out a helping hand~

So when you ask God for a Gift,
be thankful if He sends
Not diamonds, pearls or riches,
but the love of real true friends.

Early next week I'll be in Kansas City. I'm going to finally meet up with one of my longest eBay friends, Ms. Iley... She lives 2 miles from where my hubby and I will be staying and I'm excited about lunching together and sharing my heart with hers...

Isn't it wonderful when something you've prayed for finally comes to pass? God certainly does make all things beautiful (and wonderful!) in His time...

Blessings to you as you remember the faithfulness of the Most High...Rebecca
