~HAPPY 4th of JULY~ Be Safe & Have Fun

HAPPY 4th of JULY

THE STATUE OF LIBERTY
(A Song)

IN NEW YORK HARBOR STANDS A LADY
WITH HER TORCH RAISED TO THE SKY
AND ALL WHO SEE HER KNOWS SHE STANDS FOR
LIBERTY FOR YOU AND ME

I'M SO GLAD TO BE CALLED AN AMERICAN
TO BE NAMED WITH THE BRAVE AND THE FREE
I WILL HONOR OUR FLAG AND OUR TRUST IN GOD
AND THE STATUE OF LIBERTY

ON LONELY GOLGOTHA STOOD A CROSS
WITH MY LORD RAISED TO THE SKY
AND ALL WHO KNEEL THERE LIVE FOREVER
AS ALL THE SAVED CAN TESTIFY

I'M SO GLAD TO BE CALLED A CHRISTIAN
TO BE NAMED WITH THE RANSOMED AND WHOLE
AS THE STATUE LIBERATES THE CITIZEN
SO THE CROSS LIBERATES THE SOUL

OH THE CROSS IS MY STATUE OF LIBERTY
IT WAS THERE THAT MY SOUL WAS SET FREE
UNASHAMED I'LL PROCLAIM THAT A RUGGED CROSS
IS MY STATUE OF LIBERTY

Lyrics By: Neil Enloe

Just a quick little note today to wish you all a safe and beautiful Independence Day! We are so blessed by God to live in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!! As you sit and watch the fireworks with your family, cook burgers on the grill or shop 'til you drop, may you each take a few seconds to remember those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom!

Blessings to you as you proudly wave the red, the white and the blue...Rebecca

Hope your 4th was a good one. As always your writing is so inspirational. About thinking of those who served and died for our freedom I live with one who served his country. Vietnam!Ive learned to be more patient through the years. Wasn't all easy. Didn't always put out that flag. But 2 goes out now with flying colors on the moment it is supposed to go and down at sunset. Very proud man. On a different note. I have finally posted on my blog. No pics/I wished I wasn't so computer illiterate. Hugs Sally
