~VISITING NANA and Audrey Hepburn, too!~

~My SWEET Miss K~

I've had a very busy week and I just can't wrap my head around just what it is I want to share with you next... Give me a day or two...I'll sort everything out! Promise.

In the meantime...

My Miss K is staying with me (her Auntie & Uncle, too!) while her Daddy and Momma are away in Southern Cali and her Papa is in Tennessee. We had a bit of running around to do today and she INSISTED on wearing the sweet black checkered shirt I bought her for school! I couldn't resist showing you the charming picture I snapped of her this afternoon! She is all of six years old and will soon be starting FIRST GRADE! She continues to steal my heart away.

Miss K's HUGE EXPRESSIVE EYES remind me of Audrey Hepburn's (especially so when I gel-up her pretty brown hair into a top-notch pony tail)! While combing her locks today I told her of the resemblance and she immediately asked to see a picture of just WHO Miss Hepburn was!

When I pulled up the following picture she said...

Audrey Hepburn

"Oh wow, Nana!!!! I DO want to look like her when I grow up! She's waaaay more beautiful than you!!"

I'm feeling a week of vacation coming on.

Blessings to you as you smile through the occasional tear...Rebecca :) :) :)

Outta the mouths of BABES!!! Your Miss K is just precious! I got a good chuckle over your sweet story!

On the TMC they've been playing many of Audrey's movies. I stayed up late 2 nights ago and watched Roman Holiday! I love her movies!

Have a great day!

My Sweet Rebecca!
I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful things you have done for me, namely hugging my sister. I think sometimes when we have a crisis such as this, touch is very important. I just wanted her to know that she is loved, and that we are so praying for her and for Amy to receive some relief from this wretched pain. I pray for the angels to comfort her, and sing her to sleep so that her little body can rest. She is so exhausted. And continue to keep Debbie strong. I know she is a "Rogers Girl" and we were both raised to believe that "Rogers Girls" DO NOT cry. She will get through this. I so wish I could be there tho to help her. I am so grateful to you for representing me. Thank you my oh so precious angel.. I love this post. Ms K is just precious and you know kids: They say the darndest things! Have a wonderful blessed day. No change this morning, as Debbie has not called. Love, Sherry

I am going to be chuckling over THIS comment for a VERY long time, Rebecca.

Let me see ... plastic surgery, hair dye, Juvederm, Latisse, liposuction ... lift it & shift it!

These out of the mouths of babe moments are so precious to cherish forever! Miss K is just goregous, the similarity to Audrey is cute ... she is the spitting image of beautiful you hands down ...

Hugs of love, TTFN ~Marydon

Yesterday, my oldest (he is ten) told me there were a lot of mom's that he has come across that are beter moms than me. I asked what they do different, He said, "they dont sit on the computer a lot and they dont drink so much coffee. LOL! Oh well...

Pop that little princess on the b*tt for that remark, sweetpea! My granddaughter tells me I'm the most gorgeous Nana ever; of course, Mandy is almost 30 so I'll take that as a compliment. You do realize there is a blog about our visit over to Seattle, right????? Hah,

Hi Becky--

Oh! Ho Ho Ho Ho. I am still laughing. Kylah is so bright and sincere in what she says. You have another "special" to ponder in your heart and tuck away in
your "Book of Memories." :)

I am reminded of something Juliette said when she was six. I had told her I wanted to lose some ugly pounds -- and she replied.
No, No, Nanny, I like you lumpy." LOL

Love you dear daughter.

Hugs-- Mom

Rebecca your Miss K is a beautiful angel! I remember my youngest son now 30 years old writing a letter about me in grade one for Mother's Day...He said his Mommy was very pretty when she wore her makeup! I still cherish those childhood school projects to this day.. Have a lovely weekend.

What a precious little girl. I know exactly how you feel about her because I have a Katie who is now 6 and starting first grade my precious little angel....and sweet Emily who is now a year old.
Daughters who had daughters who are having daughters. Are we lucky or what?
Not as pretty as Audrey? I beg to differ! :)

~~Rebecca~~Getting caught up on a few missed days of your blog...I chuckled when I read this one. Adorable Ms. K...she does have a resemblance to Audrey. Little ones at that age say exactly what's on their minds..we all share a story like that one I'm sure. No worries...you are just as beautiful and I see so much of you in your granddaughter. She is a beauty. Love her school shirt and ensemble. Love & Hugs, Mary H.
