"LOVE IS..." and OTHER THINGS THAT MATTER

~LOVE IS...Antique Hunting Together~

Well...it's Wednesday again and time to share another one of my "LOVE IS..." clippings! I dearly love this one! Even when my Mr.AGPMan and I were dating he knew how much I loved antiques and vintage finds. After we married we would ocassionally go "antique looking" as "antique shopping" was totally out of the question! We were so young and BROKE~ It would be many, many years before we even considered purchasing anything that was truly old (or valuable)... Just being able to purchase food was good back then!

Seems like a lifetime ago that I began saving all the "LOVE IS..." clippings my hubbs sent my way. In one way or another they tell the story of our early years together and never fail to bring a smile to my face.

Blessings to you as travel down memory lane with me...Rebecca

~~Oh Rebecca~~This one is so cute and how funny you found one with each of you holding a "vintage find"! Don't you feel God's goodness in your relationship as you share each year together. Makes the "old days" when we were first married and broke seem like a whole other time. Ron and I believe we appreciate things in our life these days because we have experienced the "other times" when things weren't as plentiful. God is good and we are fortunate to have men that understand us.LOL! I forgot to mention that I really like the scripture you quoted in the post of yesterday (or the day before). Thank you for sharing your heart and your God given talent. Blessings to you dear friend, Mary H.

I love that!!...my hubby and I share the same passion for antiquing and junking as well. We really enjoy the time together and alot of couples don't have that. He is even on the shabby chic bandwagaon now. We rarely buy anything new as the beauty really lies in the old tattered and worn. Love your blog. Could I copy that 'Love is' to post on my blog?

Absolutely precious ... it says LOVE all over that artwork. How wonderful you have these 'pieces of love' to reflect & enjoy.

We were there ... those days we were so BROKE we shared a hamburger as payday was a few days off. You don't go very far on an enlisted Navy man's salary back then. We were recalling a few weeks ago about the 'high rent' of $85 on a $200 salary ... chuckle!

The memories flood back when I read your posts of love, our struggles in love & a young marriage.

Your inspirational writing is beautiful that you posted yesterday ... aren't we so blessed.

Hello Rebecca,
These clippings must be some of your greatest tresures. I love this one too and the writing along with it. My husband and I struggled for years as far as money is concerned and had to take pleasure in many of the little things. Those are the very things I still treasure now. I woulndn't change anything about those 'hungry' years. Thanks so much Rebecca, for you always inspire me.
Hugs, June

No matter which one's follow from here on out, this will be one of my favorites. I can't tell you how many times Steve & me go out of our home to go "antiquing" or "garbolizing". I can truly tell you there are probably more memories wrapped in this topic than any other. From the tiniest little hankie come pillow to the free cabinet on the garbage row to an entertainment center. The fun is never ending.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!
Life is funny sometimes. We have been married almost 41 years... Sometimes it seems like the things that I wanted so bad when I was a young married I have now. Now I long for the simplicity We had way back when......
Great post!

Oh, yes, I believe this! My husband and I love to antique. We really do not spend much money, but we love to go.

Often, when we are out at a place, I'll be looking at one thing, he another. I look back at him and feel so comforted and blessed. God is so good!

Thank you for these sweet thoughts and picture!

Blessings to you, Rebecca. You have lightened my heart today.

Andrea
