HE CARES ABOUT YOU ~ Just LEAVE IT THERE

Ever have one of those days when the time you have at your fingertips spins awkwardly out of control leaving you with a day half wasted? You know the kind of day, don't you? A day where nothing you planned to accomplish gets done and you find yourself left with a pile of empty minutes and chores that still need tending...

Yesterday was like that for me.

One project after another was climbing onto my already crowded back. I began to feel overwhelmed with the fact that my 'Monday' was turning out crummy and I felt powerless to change it. I whined. I lamented. I complained.

And...

I was miserable.

And so...late in the evening I decided to do what I SHOULD have done during my early morning hours~

I sat down.

Got quiet.

And took my stresses and disappointments to God.

I suppose there are times when I don't want to trouble the Most High with my hurts. I mean...He's got BIG things to deal with like waring countries and the terribly afflicted...the poor, the neglected, the broken. After all, He needs to make time to listen to the prayers of important people...

How could my God, who is big and awesome (and sooo demanded upon), ever care about my little struggles? My disappointments? My fears? My failures?

And yet, He does~

And so...

I did exactly the thing I once heard my beautiful mother sing so often about...

I left the load of my daily grind, my usually simple, but sometimes out of control life, and laid it at the feet of my Savior...

And...

I rested.

Leave It There
Charles Albert Tindley

If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Chorus:

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

If your body suffers pain and your health you can't regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
He knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Don't forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He'll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Blessings to you as you remember that "HE CARES ABOUT YOU!" (1 Peter 5:7)...Rebecca

Rebecca, as usual your timing is remarkable. I really needed to see these words. Things are crazy for me at work (crazy would be an understaement). It is now time for me to step back and take a deep breath and leave it in God's hands.
Thank you!

If there was one thing that I struggle with in my spiritual life it is just that. I am the type of person that thinks I can control everything. It is VERY hard for me to relax..... Therefore it is so hard to give my cares to God.

Then there are the days that everything goes "just as planned". I love it when a plan comes together!!
Hugs & Smiles.

Rebecca ~ He will soothe your soul & rest your weary body in the time of stress & despair ... always. He never fails to hear every single word we share with Him.

I love that song ...

And, today you are bouncing all over the place catching up & accomplishing great things.

Cast your cares on the Lord & He will sustain you ... Psalm 55:52

Hope today is a better one for you, my friend. Hugs of love, TTFN ~Marydon

Well we may not share the same beliefs, but I know what you mean. For me, my meditation shows me that time is never wasted because there always is something to be learned about myself when I am feeling this way. It is about patience and self acceptance, and I believe this type of introspection is good for all of us, no matter what we believe. It just makes us more compassionate with others when we understand our own foibles. So good for you!

I had a friend who used to question when people say there is nothing else I can do but pray....she said...what else should we do but pray! Your post reminded me of that...I am so glad our Lord is there whenever we call upon Him.

How beautifully written.
As a child of the most high God because Christ is your personal savior...you are the apple of God's eye and your value is one of great importance.
He has time for you and there's room at the table.
God Bless you real good,

Hello Sweet Friend,
What a wonderful uplifting post! The song brought back such a wonderful memory,...My dear sweet grandmother used to sit in her chair in her bedroom when we would read and study the Bible together and this is one of many songs she would sing, just such a sweet memory for me tonight, Thank you!!

Thank you for visiting and leaving such encouraging words, and when you get ready to can I will help in any way that I can. It is worth all the effort, and you know what went in the jars.
Blessings,
sue
