Dear Peeps...

Just a quick note to let you all know that my Mr. AGPMan and I had the privilege of attending the Memorial Service today in Enid, Oklahoma, for Amy Ragan. Amy is the daughter of Debbie @ There's An Angel On My Front Porch and the niece of Sherry @ Country Wings in Phoenix. Many of you follow their beautiful Blogs and have known for quite some time of Amy's illness.

For those of you who prayed for Amy's healing and were saddened by her passing, I want to share with you that she had a lovely service, one that celebrated her bright smile and joy of life. Beautiful music was sung and a heartfelt message presented by their Pastor.

As a parent I've never considered the possibility of outliving either one of my children. I can only imagine what the next few days, weeks and months are going to be like for Amy's family as they learn to live without her earthly presence in their daily lives.

I'm quite sure they would all greatly appreciate your continued prayers.

Last December during my Grandmother's Memorial Service my lovely sister, Linda, sang the most beautiful song in honor of a woman who meant so much to all of her grandchildren. Although the song's words were written from the perspective of a mother whose child was leaving home for the first time, I believe the message behind the following lyrics will be perfectly understood.

Written by the talented singer and songwriter, Karen Wheaton, the song says it better than I ever could...

Cradled in my arms I held you
And I loved you more with each day passing by
Sharing joy, sharing pain
Through the sunshine and the rain
I can’t believe it’s time to say good bye

I don’t know what the future brings you
But I hope that you’ll keep Heaven as your goal
For we’ve taught you how to pray
We made sure you knew the way
So remember my request before you go

Just be there
When I finally make it home
And I stand before the throne
Just be there
When I look around to see
If you are standing next to me
Just be there

It’s not an easy road you’re travelin’
But every place you go Jesus has been
And when you find you’ve made a turn
Forgetting what you’ve learned
You may have to start all over again

It’s not an easy load you’re bearin’
But the trials of your faith will make you strong
Facing dangers unaware
He won’t allow what you can’t bear
So my prayer is that your faith will bring you home

Just be there
When I finally make it home
And I stand before the throne
Just be there
When I look around to see
If you are standing next to me
Just be there

Blessings to you as you find gratefulness and thankfulness in each day you've been given...Rebecca

Rebecca, TY for being there for Sherry & Debbie ... I am so glad that the service was lovely ... Amy can now rest in peace forever.

This song is very moving & beautiful. TY for sharing this with us ... it says it all. I know how close you are/were with your Grandmother.

No parent should ever have to live their lives without their child ... God bless every single one that does. Life is never the same ...

Hugs of love, Marydon

Rebecca, I thought of you so often today and said many quiet prayers. I saw my mother lose my sister and even though the pain was horrible for me....I truly cannot imagine what it was like for her!

I will certainly keep this family in my prayers.

Thank you so much for your kind words to me today and forgive me for bothering you with this stuff. Having a cold put me out of the loop and I did not realize you were facing all this.

Thank you so much for your friendship, Rebecca.

Love, Barb ♥

Rebecca, I also can't imagine losing a child...nothing could be more painful. The song that you shared speaks to me...my prayer is for my children to give their lives to the Lord, live it out in service and obedience to Him, and that we are together with Him for eternity. It was wonderful that you could be there for Amy's service, to give Debbie your support...I'm glad that all of us in blogland could be there via computer to offer our love and prayers..I know it meant a lot to her and to Amy. They are a precious family. God bless you.

My Dear Beautiful Rebecca!
Thank you, thank you for standing in for me today. I so wish I could have been there for my family. It was not meant to be. I said my good-byes to Amy while I was there visiting, and she knows where my heart is. I will always love her. Everyone is suffering, as all of you came to love Amy too. Everyone suffered such a BIG loss the day Amy received her wings and left her earthly body, but I know we are all part of God's plan and his plan was to bring her home. She is cancer free, pain free and flying free. Thank you my lovely friend. We will talk again soon. I love you sweet precious Rebecca, Sherry

Do you know how special you are, how loved, I really do not know what to say here, I have followed both Debbie & Sherries blog from *afar* I did not leave a *comment* for these strong, beautiful, suffering women because I honestly did not know what to say to them to make their beautiful *Amy's* struggle any easier, I did however pray for them, for Amy. I need you to know YOU have taught me to pray again, You have given me something to believe in.
Thank you my Sweet Sweet Lady...
I love you with all my soul, DO YOU KNOW THAT....

Forever your FRIEND...

I miss her, she was my best friend, my cousin, my sister. I miss our conversations, and will never forget her. God bless you and your family for making this incredible journey to Enid to be there in support of Amy and family.
