~HAPPY PINK SATURDAY...Pink Creations 4 U~

~HAND PAINTED PINK ROSE BOX~

After being busy with life-stuff for the past several weeks I'm excited about being able to participate again in PINK SATURDAY!  Thank you Beverly over at HOW SWEET THE SOUND for hosting this amazing party week after week!  We appreciate everything you do behind the scenes to make our little get together a success!  Thank you~  Thank you!  Thank you!
 ~THANK YOU, BEVERLY~
(Stop in and tell her hello!)

Let it be said (as if you didn't already know...) I LOVE PINK!  Yes!  Yes!  Yes I do!
All my life I have loved pink!  Oh my gosh!  I just realized...

I'M IN LOVE WITH PINK!

Who knew????

 ~PINK CORSET CARDS~
Today I'm going to show you some of the things I've been working on lately that have been taking up MOST of my time!  I'm living smack-dab in the middle of my PASSION! :)

Are you???

 ~SWEET PINK BUSTIER (Boost-tee-a)~

I've you've followed my Blog for any time (or even if you just peek in once in awhile) then you probably know I own a little on-line website called A Gathering Place.  I spent lots of time over the summer working on romantic cottage pretties for the Shoppe (some to be uploaded this week) as well as fresh new designs for my Altered de Papier line of paper-goods.  Let me tell you...it's been a RIDE! :)
 ~SOOO ROMANTIC~

Now...I'm just going to be flat-out honest with you and say right up-front that learning Paint Shop Pro and Photo Shop has just about kicked my Bumm to the the other side of the world and back again.  Wow!!!   What a challenge it's been for me to wrap my brain around the technicality of those Programs!  They've been hard to learn (at least for me)...but NO WAY was I going to give up!!!

So...if you are just starting to learn either of these computer programs please don't be discouraged!  If I can learn them you can learn them!
~SWEET PINK SANTA CARDS, TOO~

In addition to creating the Vintage Corset (coming soon) and Dress Form Cards the sweet Pink Santa Cards you see above have just been finished as well.  I hope you will check them out when you have time...there are matching Hang Tags, too!

I just can't get enough of those aging St. Nick graphics!  Yummo!

I've managed to do a little bit of painting and sewing and believe it or not I've even enjoyed a couple of Saturdays out JUNKIN' and SLUMMIN' for exciting treasures and neat old finds!
 ~SWEET PINK HANGING SACHET~

And...if I could get Blogger to STOP rotating my vertical style pictures to landscape style pictures I would upload them and show them to you! :(  Maybe next week I can figure out WHAT it is I'm suppose to be doing with them that obviously I'm not doing right now!  Argh...

Thanks for peeking in today to see my latest PINK PRODUCTS!  Don't forget to check out all the fabulous PINK SATURDAY PARTICIPANTS as they always have the most amazing things!  You will love it!

Blessings for a lovely Saturday!

Love to you~

Hello my sweet friend! As always your pinks are sooooo pretty and romantic. Every time I see the pink Santa, I want to get busy decorating my home for Christmas. Yummo is right. Great job learning the programs, I get a bit frustrated too with computer stuff, but when you get it right it can be just soooo delightful! Happy Pink Saturday.
Hugs,
Olivia

Your enthousiasm sparks of my laptop screen! It sounds very inspiring and I must say I very much admire your cards.
Maybe you are encountering a few problems with Blogger because of the changes. In a few days time we cannot you use the old editor anymore for instance. I shall cry, because I will not know how to place my photographs ..... I read more despair on this on other blogs, like some Dutch girl saying - I will throw out my computer out of the window because of Blogger. Well, if you have managed to handle these new programs, you will manage the new Blogger just as well.
I love your word use and your writing, it is maybe the way also that you talk? (= a compliment!)
Happy weekend!

PS Before sending this I copied the text ..... and guess what, I got thrown out of the comment system ..... grrr
One more try! (with the copied text)

I've had Photo Shop Elements for sometime now and know a few tricks. I have a reference book on the program too but I would very much like to take a class. It's so much easier for me to see an application in action and learn from that.

Hi Rebecca, Thank you so kindly for stopping over and visiting my blog.....my Pink Saturday post was not yet up, but is now and I hope that you just take a second to stop back to see what I posted for P.S. I am new to this group and am so EXCITED! My favorite color is pink and my entire home is decorated in pinks, greens, yellows, and ivories. Maybe you could already tell from my blog that pink and green are my faves! You have just one of the most beautiful blogs that I've ever seen and I would like to feature one of your posts if you ever choose to link up to either my Friday or Saturday hops. Saturdays are for anything in season; and Fridays are anything fresh (ie: pink roses!) clean and pure. I am now following and will very much enjoy reading your inspirational thoughts and photos! Love, Roz over at La Bella Vita

Hi Rebecca, The link doesn't work to mine as it needs one set of http// or what ever that linky thing is less. Try it when you have time, I think you just have to copy and paste the code instead of a pic?? You can probably figure it out when you try it,, you can delete this when you are done, lol hugs again

The fix to the vertical pictures is fairly simple, but who knows why Blogger doesn't make this info easier to find. Open the pictures in Photo Shop or whatever picture enhancer you're using. Then resave them as a .PNG

Once you reload them back on Blogger, the pictures will be vertical they way they should.

I've also heard that if your camera is set to turn the pictures automatically, turn that feature off and new pics can be saved as a .JPG as usual.

Never tried that, but resaving pics to a .PNG has worked for me.

Hi Rebecca...
Beautiful work, as always..
Did you know I used to have a craft painting business...we were in three major markets for several years, and I painted and sold wholesale and retail for 20 years. That was my passion and I haven't found another one since.
I love reading blogs and working on my little house. Blogs are a great source for ideas..and you make the sweetest little friends here..
