~SHABBY WHITE CHILDREN'S BOOTS~

~CENTURY OLD BOOTS~

I think these darling antique children's boots are more than charming!  Found at a local vintage market I fell in love with them and just had to bring them home with me...
 ~NARROW and DELICATE~

I found this pair of wee little boots just as you see them...  They have their original laces and were obviously polished up many years ago in a soft dove white. I suspect they were once owned by a girl of about seven or eight.  Today they probably equal a size 1 in young girls.  In my mind I can see her dancing about while being gently raised in cotton~
 ~A HAT TO REMEMBER~

I so love this tattered old hat complete with vintage millinery roses in white and other softly faded blooms...  It makes my heart sing knowing it once crowned the head of a graceful lady~
~VINTAGE ROSE SACHET~

A dainty sachet pillow fashioned with vintage laces, old shell buttons and a gorgeous silk and velvet rose...

Today I'm linking up with
I hope you'll pay the other ladies a visit when you can!  Lots of wonderful whites and loads of inspiration!

Hope your day is lovely...

Love to you~

Good morning Rebecca!

The shoes are adorable and the hat perfect with them. I have a pair of white, or should I say OLD white high top shoes that I love. I've thought about painting them but can't bring myself to do it. The old scuffs and wearing are from her playing the organ at the Palace Theater in Columbus when movies wear accompanied by organ music. So I've left them and they hang in my studio for inspiration.

I'm so glad God gave us a love of things of the past. It adds a deeper feeling for the present and future.

Love your curtain fix on your prev post... we had to do that with our din rm window wall too. It really helps balance the room.

Have a blessed week sweetie. I always LOVE coming to visit you!
Big hugs, Sherry

That sweet hat brings back fond memories of Easters of my childhood. The church was filled with lovely women and girls wearing all of their new hats, purses, shoes and gloves...sigh. xo

OOOOO, love the high top shoes and sweet old hat!! I have ONE similiar from a great aunt of mine...(I shared with the other one)I was not very smart, because I PAINTED mine pink long ago, but gussied it up with an old lacy hankie and flowers, too. Wish I had left mine original...
"Sunday Best" was still in vogue when I was growing up and we always wore hats, gloves and sweet "Mary Janes" to Mass on this day. I can remember how I loved to dress up for church...nowadays you see even cut-off jean shorts and barefeet and, of course, no hats......well, at least they are THERE and that is what is important, isn't it???
Going to check out the other WHITES today.....
Have a fun HUMP day!!!
Hugs, Francy

Love the boots, LOVE the hat, and really LOVE that beautiful Sachet pillow!! Gorgeous whites my friends!! I'm still working on incorporating more white into my home ~ I want to replace the Vintage rose panels (used as Valances) in our living room with some lovely white semi-sheer drapes...so the hunt is on!! :)

Have a wonderful day!
Warmest hugs, Brenda

What lovely little girl boots Rebecca...I can imagine her twirling as well...in a lush green meadow with a little dress with a petticoat hanging out around the bottom. Isn't imagining visions like this just great? I adore the pillow; it has to be one of your brilliant creations. SO SWEET!

Blessings...
