~IN HIS TIME~

Like many of you there have been times in my life when things have been difficult.  During the course of my 33 year marriage my Mr. AGPMan and I have gone though many challenging times including infertility, serious illnesses, financial ruin and even the deaths of people we love.  Earlier today as I reflected on all the years of my life, the wonderful and not so wonderful, I realized there was never a year that proved to be more difficult than 2002.

Many changes were ushered into our lives that year.
And,
well,
in general
I'm just not good with change.

This morning my beloved and I sat outside a courtroom and waited prayed for God's favor in regards to a life-altering event that began nearly a decade ago.  Honestly my thoughts were a jumbled up mess even though my heart was doing it's best to trust.  As the clock ticked on I could feel my spirit grow afraid and weak.  More than ever I was counting on my belief that God was the final authority and ultimately it would be His judgment that would set things right in our lives.

"He gives strength to those who are tired
and more power to those who are weak."
ISAIAH 40:29

When my son and daughter-in-love emerged from the courtroom with their attorney I saw a tiny smile crawl across the face of my oldest child that quickly grew into a huge grin.  Tears were welling up in the eyes of our SarahGirl and instantly I felt the warming presence of God in our lives.  He, in one seamless move of His miraculous hand, restored to us the years the locusts had devoured.

"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten--the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm--my great army that I sent among you."
JOEL 2:25 NIV

As my guy and I drove back to the comfort of our La Chaumière de Briarwood the words to a simple inspirational song kept running through my mind...

"In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Lord, please show me every day,
As You're teaching me Your way,
That You do just what You say, in Your time.

In Your time, in Your time,
You make all things beautiful in Your time.
Lord, my life to You I bring.
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time"
(Diane Ball)
 ~OUR BEAUTIFUL MISS K~

I couldn't let the day pass without offering a bit of encouragement up to those of you who are also waiting for God's miracle in your lives.

It will come to you.
In His time.

(Don't give up!)

Love to you...

So thrilled for you, whatever the circumstance...clearly you all were blessed. I remind myself often that sometimes the answer to our prayers is 'NO', and that whatever the reason, it will always be for our good. I'm so glad you got a 'YES'. Love to all, Jan

Sometimes it is so hard to let go and trust, trust that He is true to His Word...and He always is. I am so happy that this difficult time is over and came out well. xo

Rebecca,
I am so happy for you that whatever it was has turned out well for you and your family. You have been blessed.
We are going through some hard times right now ever since June. 2011 has been the worst year of all for us....except for us getting married. We have a long way to go and sometimes it gets overwhelming. But I have faith and I know that God is control. I just had to let go and give it all to Him. This post really hit home with us. I will keep telling myself...."In His time".

Thank you,
Hugs,
Lee Laurie

Rejoicing here in Texas. If it were not for a bad bout of arthritis, I would be doing the Miss "K" Happy Dance.

May the Blessings and Miracles continue on in your lives during 2012.

Dearest Rebecca et all,

Wow, tears did well into my eyes as well. What a great witness to the fact that prayers do get heard! I'm so glad for all of you and now you know what I meant earlier in a comment...
What a great day, well, I crossed another date meanwhile but we got in late from Atlanta. That's all right, makes me sleep far better knowing this great news!
Love & Hugs to you,

Mariette

That chorus is such an important message to us all. His timing is perfect. I always also think of Don Moen's God Will Make A Way...where there seems to be no way...
God bless you and your family!

Praise God for blessing your precious family! I think of you and your tribulations often, Rebecca, although I've never asked. I feel we've faced similar obstacles. God always knows best. Thanks so much for a moving post and a beautiful song. Happy 2012 to you, MISS K, and all your loving family!

So glad everything worked out for you and your family! Everything happens for a reason but we sometimes wonder why. We went through tough times but in the end things worked to our advantage and we were able to spend so much time with Amber before she went to Heaven.
Hugs,
Donna

We don't need to know the circumstances of the tribulations you and your family have been going through. All we need to know is that God answered many, many prayers and we have reason to rejoice in your behalf!!
It is so hard to let go and let God do all He needed to do in His time. And even if He hadn't answered your prayers in the way that you wanted, He is worth to be praised!!

Dear Rebecca:

This post brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. Yes, the Lord is good and as my sweet Daddy used to always say "good things come to those who wait".

God bless you and your sweet Miss K. She is growing up to be quite the gorgeous young lady!

BTW, I made those pot holders in first grade and loved doing it. Even though there are Apple "i this" and "i that" it's nice to see the simple things in life making someone happy.
