~~~~~~~VINTAGE TABLE MAKEOVER~~~~~~~ And Sign Me Up
 ~SWEET ANTIQUE TABLE~
This table has been in my Mr. AGPMan's man cave office for a couple of years now, but for the longest time  he's needed something a little more functional in it's place.  I was HAPPY to remove the table and this week I'm going to transform it with my favorite Behr Cottage White Paint (in Satin, please!).
 ~PROBABLY FROM THE 1930'S~
Today I'm showing you the BEFORE SHOTS and later this week I'll post the reveal.  Not a big project, mind you.  Just one that is taking more time than I want to give to it at present!
~GREAT METAL SIGNS~
Something else I have in the works are the sweet metal signs you see above.  I've had these for quite a while now and they've been waiting patiently for their turn at a MAKEOVER.  I actually have several of them ready for artwork I just haven't been in the mood to base paint stuff this summer...
(WAHHHHH....TOOO HOT!).
~PERFECT PLACE FOR A SIGN~
Still...I managed to get a few primed and painted and this week I'll be working at finishing them up for my website.  One of them for sure will be placed over my antique pie safe in our family room.  I hung it up there on Saturday JUST TO SEE if I would like it and I DO!  I DO!
Just have to figure out now what I want it to say!
ANY IDEAS?
Love to you this Monday...  Hope your day is wonderful!
Rebecca that table is adorable! I'm going to be redoing my Mom's 6 legged table ( similar in shape to yours) when the weather cools down. We've had some high temps and loads of humidity here in Ohio. Can hardly wait to see what you put on you sign. Wish I had a good idea... the only thing I can think of for over a pie safe is "It's always time for pie"!
Have a great week sweetie!
Hugs, Sherry
I agree it's too hot to do anything. I know I'm being wimpy, but heat sure makes me lazy! Can't wait to see that table and the metal pieces.
Work when it's cool-from 5:30-9:00 am should be about right, outside that is...♥♫
Hi Rebecca!
I saw for the first time last spring a sign that said "Pie Fixes Everything"...my family knows that whenever I am feeling blue, I love to bake my yummy apple pie! :) Being industrious, as well as, being domestic perks me up....let alone the delicious yummy pie to eat afterwards! LOL!! SO...I bought the little sign...it is adorable and it makes me smile. Of course, I know it is a light-hearted message and it is actually God who fixes everything! :)
My daughter was over the other day with her girlfriend who had my apple pie before....when she saw that sign in the kitchen, she asked if I would PLEASE bake an apple pie!! Before she had my apple pie, she did NOT like apple pie and kept refusing a serving. My daughter said, oh no, my mom's pie is different...you have to have a slice. :)
I'm excited to see it done. Whatever you do to it, it will be beautiful. As for the plaque, anything you put on it will be wonderfu, for I know what a great job you do painting! You have my e-mail address. After going here... http://idyllhours.blogspot.com/2011/08/keeper-of-natures-treasures.html, will you e-mail me so I can "talk" to you about something?
