~SAY IT ISN'T SO...Please God, Send The Spring...~

Oklahoma is bracing for a huge snow and ice storm. It's suppose to hit us sometime tomorrow. My dreams for the quick return of warmer weather have been dashed...at least for the time being.

At present we are hunkering down for a long winter's night.

The last time this happened (December '08) much of our City was in a blackout that lasted over 10 days.

Come back Spring. Come back.

Oh, you poor girl! I'm so sorry about the cold. I hope it stays away from us because I have to judge a BBQ contest on Friday!

I just heard about this tonight. We are expecting snow in North Texas tomorrow, too. Hopefully it won't be too bad. You stay inside and try to keep warm. :)

Ohhh, I am with you on this one.
I have been all day whispering to God to spare us. So dangerous for people who go to work everyday. That's one thing about being retired, I don't have to brave that weather any more. I dread seeing all the trees breaking, too.
Maybe it won't be too bad..you can't really be prepared for being without electricity for so long...ugh!!!
Stay safe and warm..
hugs,
glenda

Hi, so how did it go, the weather I mean. Was there a snow storm, all is well. The planet is going crazy, jut imagine a waterfall in China could freeze in mid motion. Reminds you of "Day after Tomorrow" the movie.

Hi neighbor! Holding my breath with you..hoping it's not as bad as they say it will be. I did run every errand I could think of yesterday in preparation. My son and I are supposed to fly to Chicago tomorrow. I'm guessing that won't happen.

Stay warm and cook something yummy. :)

Hope you have some FROZEN milk cartons ( almost full) of water..in your freezer ahead of time...and then they can be used up in your refrigerator to keep things cool for a while longer...but then again..all you have to do is set them out on your porch, I guess.
I am always thinking of HOT OLD TEXAS...we have to keep things COLD here ...when the "lights go out".

STAY SAFE...keep warm blankets handy.
** Run the water in your taps a trickle..and keep your outside wall cabinets open to keep the pipes from freezing up.

I always have wanted to live JUST ONE WINTER someplace that had LOTS of snow!!!! The older I get and the more I learn of the hardships of heavy snows and very cold winters, the more i am satisfied that I live in Louisiana
where it gets sort of cold, and we DID have snow enough to cover everything over-night Dec.5-6!!
Stay warm, sweet Rebecca, and be safe!
Love, Francy

Hi Sweet Rebecca....

I've been here for a bit catching up with you! Holy moly.......I was a bit behind.

I love your dining room.....it turned out beautifully. What a grand idea to use your living room. Why not?!! This way you'll be able to have big lovely dinners with alllll of your family, right?

Your Miss K is just too darn cute for words....She's really adorable and I loved her note too.

Can't wait to see all of your finished goodies. You always do such a beautiful job.

Stay warm! Maybe some hot chocolate is in order?

Huggies and lovies,
Spence
