~NEW YEAR BEGINNINGS - Making Room for Change~

~BLESSINGS FOR 2010~

As hard as it is for me to believe, today marks the one year anniversary of my humble bloggie. The past 365 days have ushered in lots of exciting changes into my life and enough familiarity to keep me grounded. I will miss 2009. It was a good year. I'm deeply thankful for all the good and lovely things that have come my way while trying at the same time to stay positive about the things that proved to be a tad bit unsettling.

I've never been a person to look back. Still, I've found that taking a peek into the rear view mirror of my past is good for me. For how can I know where I'm going if I don't know where I've been? Is it possible for me to make better choices if I don't reflect upon those that left me wanting and hungering for more?

I think not.

And so, I begin the new year ahead with a heart full of promise that 2010 will be all I need it to be. May it be a year filled with good things, positive life lessons and a deep, maybe even profound understanding of why I am on this journey.

These things I pray for you as well.

I am blessed to have each of you follow along. I love reading your comments and your encouraging thoughts. I love your muse, your gentle advise and the sharing of your life's experiences, talents, joys and challenges. You never fail inspire me with your creativity or to bless me with your praise...

Thank you all. So very, very much.

Early next week I will begin sharing with you some of the things I have planned for this year. Stay tuned for pictures of the fabulous Chandelier my Mr. AGPMan gifted me for my birthday as well as the photos of TWO 2die4 China Cabinets we just transformed into something Shabby-Cottage-Chic-WONDERFUL! :) I continue to love all things romantic and will be sharing lots of tips, ideas, graphics and tutorials this year as well!

Additionally, I'll be updating you on just WHERE I plan to go with my A GATHERING PLACE Website (and why it's been on hiatus for so long), news about eBay and Etsy, as well as the location change of my local antique mall space...

Oh...and I'll be having a little Give-a-way for my Blogiversary, too!

Blessings to you as you enjoy the first day of 2010.

An Ever Grateful, Rebecca

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU, REBECCA AND MR. AGPMAN
I HAVE LOVED YOU SINCE THE DAY YOU WALKED THROUGH AMY'S HOSPITAL ROOM. THERE WAS A SWEET SPIRIT ABOUT YOU AND I HAVE NEVER TOLD YOU THIS BUT WHEN I WATCH YOU TALK YOU SO REMIND ME OF BETTE MIDLER....I CAN NEVER SPELL HER NAME....I AM NOT SAYING YOU ARE OF HER CHARACTER BUT I THINK SHE IS VERY PRETTY AND SHE HAS A VERY DISTINCT VOICE.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS AND ENCOURAGEMENT AND FOR ATTENDING AMY'S GOING HOME SERVICE.
I WAS TELLING A CHRISTIAN FRIEND I E MAIL JUST YESTERDAY....GOD NEVER SAID THERE WOULD NOT BE PAIN, THERE WOULD NOT BE GRIEF, BUT THAT HE WOULD PROVIDE THE HOLY GHOST AS OUR COMFORTER AND THE PROVISIONS TO HELP US PART OUR RED SEA.
I HOPE WE CAN GET TOGETHER SOON. IT WOULD BE FUN.
LOVE YOU

As for my own goals, I shared 4 writing goals for 2010 with my band of 6 writer friends.

OK Peeps...Here's a PS to the comment made about Bette Midler and the Nanny...

I've had people tell me that before that my antics remind me of Bette Midler...IS THAT A COMPLIMENT? I asked my hubby about it and he said "Nope...don't see any resemblance, but you are a NUT like she is! Maybe that is what people mean!?"

And...about the Nanny (Fran D)...

When the Nanny was popular on TV I would hear ONCE IN A WHILE that my laugh was similar to hers! But..I TELL YOU HONESTLY...I do not TALK or SOUND LIKE HER!!!!

I do wish I had her BOD, though (Fran, not Bette)! :) :) :)

DEAR REBECCA,
SO THIS MORNING I AM SITTING HERE FINISHING UP COUNTING THE ENTRIES FOR MY DRAWING AND I COME ACROSS YOUR COMMENT THIS MORNING. MY HUBBY WAS IN THE KITCHEN AND SAYS " WHY ARE YOU CRYING, DID SOMEONE WRITE YOU SOMETHING MEAN ON THERE, WHO WOULD DO THAT?" WELL IT TOOK ME A MINUTE TO STOP CRYING (IT ISN'T PRETTY TRYING TO TALK WHEN YOU ARE CRYING, HOW DO THEY DO IT ON SOAP OPERAS?) ANYWAY I EXPLAINED TO HIM WHO WROTE IT AND WHAT IT SAID AND HIS ONLY RESONSE WAS..."THERE AREN'T TOO MANY NEAT PEOPLE LIKE THAT ON THIS EARTH TO GO AROUND, I'M GLAD YOU HAVE HER TO TALK TO" INDEED, I AM GLAD TOO. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING YOU. I HOPE YOU TOO HAVE A BLESSED 2010. I AM GLAD I HAVE KNOWN YOU AS LONG AS I HAVE. I THINK YOUR DEAR FRIEND GLAPHRE IS MAKING SURE YOU AREN'T TOO LONELY BY GIVING YOU NEW FRIENDS TO SHARE HER LESSONS AND GRACE WITH. BIG HUGE HUGS. YOU ARE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PERSON. HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIEND.... P.S.. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR CHANDELIER!!!

PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE MY FRIEND! When I started my Blog on 1/1/09 I was soooo afraid. I honestly thought "What do I have to say?" and "Who will even CARE if my walls are white, cream, blush or taupe!"

Guess what? Somebody did! We all have something to offer...

NOW...GO FOR IT!
